Did I tell you I love canvas drop cloths?

I do! The fabric is just wonderful....especially when washed with a little fabric softener. It has little specks all over, and crinkles....

Well, I just finished a purse for my Etsy store created from this wonderful fabric. It's a simple shoulder bag adorned with vintage laces and buttons. The lining fabric is made from muslin. Both fabrics were washed before I cut the pieces out so I feel sure you could wash the purse in cold water and lay flat to dry, how cool is that??? I think the older this one gets the better it will look ~

And a little Sunday gift for you ~ I recently bought this precious photo from a seller on Etsy and just had to share it with you. I can SO see this little girl being a pouty fairy in a jar!!!

Wishing you a peaceful, restful Sunday dear friends,

xxoo, Dawn

Gorgeous! I was sewing tonight too! First I tackled a cushion on the couch I'm covering...again. I do mean tackled, wrestled, even bled some too! After lots of pricks of pins and a rough zipper, it looks great! Now I just have to tackle the other half of the couch! lol

I also did an heirloom ring bearer's pillow for my neice's 10th birthday...made from her christening dress. She was baptized in a river in a white chiffon dress with flower embellishments around the bottom of the skirt. The dress is stained and yellowed into a lovely cream from the river, so I took what I could from it and am so happy with the results! Now I just need the proper box to put it in. My sister has no idea...she gave it to me with the thought that she'd never see it again it was in such poor condition. I bet she'll get emotional when she sees it!

It was hard not to wonder who she will marry and where all our lives will be then. Sentimental night, I guess! :)

Such a pretty purse and a sweet little photo. Which reminds me that I have a question for you. Since you are always scanning images to share I am sure you will know the answer. What are the copyright laws for this? If a book, magazine, etc is a certain age then it is okay to scan and share?

The bag is great...the image too funny! I can see her as a pouty bride, too.

Have a great Sunday!

That picture is so sweet...little Miss Pout probably didn't want to be there...with a boy, of all things...and would rather be playing with her dolls. The bag is wonderful. I've never washed the dropcloths, but will certainly do so in the near future. It's such a bargain price-wise! Have a wonderful day.

Wow- drop cloth for fabric- what a great idea- imagine the possibilites-pillows, totes, aprons- Even though I love the white on white look, I wonder how it would take to tea staining?

Garden parties, cool glasses of lemonade, women in fragile Victorian gowns of lace.....it's 100+ degrees outside my home, but inside my home, this lovely handbag takes me to another place, another time.....and I feel the breeze as it ruffles through my hair. All this and the simplicity of the dropcloth.....thank you.

Lovely....Rita
