Here's a few more of my clippings. First a wonderful page full of techniques on how to age your fabric. I know, usually you are trying NOT to let your fabric look old and faded by the sun but this is for those of us who love all things old and just can't seem to wait for the beautiful muted tones!
Nothing too special in the below photo except I want you to notice the layered curtains. They seem so very simple. Straight drapes to the floor with a bit of a puddle, no custom, fancy treatment here but don't you think they have the most luxurious look??
Another drapery photograph, simple but oh so luxurious to me in the way they are pulled back and tucked behind and slightly puddled on the floor as well. Billowing fabric always looks so beautiful . . .
I just have to say that I love my friends here in the Land of Blog. Such kindness, encouragement and friendship exists here and I can't tell you enough how happy I am just to be a little part of it!! Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog and for always leaving me such sweet comments. Each and every one is treasured . . .

Gorgeous journal Dawn. I have to say journals are my most favorite thing to make. I'm working on some right now, using an image you have shared.
And thanks for sharing the "aging fabric" instructions!

That composition book is awesome!!!!!!! I would be terrified to write in it!! I would want to display it on a picture hanger, or one of the ones that stand up on a mantle or something. Oh it would look good on a plate stand on a bookcase!!
I love curtains. Next to lamps they are my favorite. Of course if only I could sew then I wouldn't have to spend a gob of money buying them, and I could have the style and colors I wanted. Maybe one day I will learn the art of sewing.
Your book is turning out lovely.
Those are very nice window treatment ideas too. Thank you for sharing them.
My friend Liisa tells me she often hangs fabrics on her lilac bush for a few days to age them! I too prefer that softer aged look in most things.
Dawn, the journal is beautiful. I love the faded look and all the tips you posted are wonderful. Did you know you can even make little "worn" holes in fabric prior to washing and the edges will soften a fray a bit - all you need to do is snip a tiny hole with scissors, throw in the washer and dryer and viola: an aged worn spot!
Thank you for telling us about Caramelos. I posted a picture on my blog of an adorable little wire dress form that I bought from her. You always tell us about great sites! Thanks!

Wonderful altered journal! I'm watching this one very closely...have already purchased five at .50 each!
I can't imagine life without tea stains...how boring and yet so common...it is good to be common, right.
