This & that ~

I've taken a few photos around the house today before I get back to the projects I'm working on . . .
Shelves in our living room, chock full of botanicals in very old jars, my tray of nests (thank you Julie!) with a vintage mirror, tiny lamp, old spools of twine and a bunch more of my very old books I use for artwork. The lamp reflection is the lamp in the next photo!

The view looking out the window in our living room ~

I'm loving this new book I found ~ chock full of sewing projects for me to make and put in my Etsy! One thing I love is a pattern for eye shades to sleep in, you know the ones the movie stars would wear when they went to bed to help them sleep ~

Some goodies I brought home from my room at The Plum Tree to transform ~

I'm trying so hard to organize my papers for collage work. I thought these boxes with the snap corners would be great but yuck! They pop open all the time! I've already taken the tops off, stuck the boxes on this little rolling rack. I'll cut the tops up and use them in my artwork!

Projects I started last night:

Look Cindy, I'm starting your silver platter you ordered! Yaaaay!
One of the goodies going to Julie as a thank you for my nests, book, papers & garnet stones!

I'll soon have a new luggage pocket tray in my store too!!

A glimpse around the art room/studio:

Vintage lace ~ makes me smile just to look at it!

Over my sewing machine ~

On my work table, tons of things, heaped and piled, but I love it all ~

I need to finish my little naked paperclay baby! The nest is going in a project too, boy, I'd better get busy . . .

I hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

Oh you got the bookcase!! I love love love it!! I need to get one myself. Maybe I can talk Brent into building me one, my books on one of my shelves are going to have to be relocated due to water damage, yuck. We did a little rearranging in the house too, I'll post pictures for you.

What a wonderful peek around your studio. Can't wait to see the finished projects. I found that book at Borders too. Isn't it adorable. Reminded me of Alicia (posy gets cozie). Great post.

You should begin a notecard line and the picture of your lamp & window, with the winsomely lovely lace curtain, should be your first card. Seriously!

What sweet time I spend peeking at your site. So many ideas, thoughtful considerations and creative expressions. Love it.

What great ambiance... lovely filtered light and you are surrounded by beauty. I had trouble finding organizing tools too. I am currently trying boxes I got at Target...buy stock, I think I love them! Another look around your space and I am gone... fondly, Kim
