Yes! Today is my Blogiversary!!! This is my 356th post and one year of anniversary of blogging at The Feathered Nest.
This land of Blog is amazing to me. Such sweet friends I've made, opportunities I've had, prayers I've prayed, inspiration I've received, and so many things that I've learned. I'm so glad I'm here, with you, seeking encouragement, inspiration and beauty from each other!
To start off my Blogiversary celebration I've scanned a wonderful image to give to you ~ sweet birds with their nest from a gorgeous old nature book for children that I have! Click to enlarge, then right click to save onto your computer.
Next, I am having a giveaway!! Not for the artwork that has been entered into the contest that you can still vote on HERE (shameless plug :) That is a different giveaway.

Happy Bloggerversary...you have quite the following, too. It's kind of funny..how you and I started at about the same time in this ole blog world...I actually posted my first blog on Feb. 23 of last year...but it was a few months later before I started blogging on a regular basis...I had to learn a few things in between the first and second blogs...I have posted 95 posts thus far...so I am coming up quickly on my 100th post and my one year anniversary...hmmm...maybe I need to post more often...and not be so "wordy" with each post...do you think that I'm capable of doing that??? Nah! lol

I have never commented here before, but I am a loyal reader and I have used your coffee staining process to turn ordinary manila tags into parisian fabulousness, and I have received lots of compliments on the tags. I have used them for gifts, as well as to make labels for the baskets and bins in my pantry. So charming with french stamps!
I am also getting ready to try your craft-paint-palooza where you turned ho-hum garden statuary into just-plucked-from-a-100-year-old-garden-in-France fabulousness. I am going to try it on a small bunny from Goodwill - should be cute.
Your collage art is also amazing, and the platter in no exception. I collect platters and have been dying to get something with egg prints in my house, to no avail lately. I would cherish that thing forever I tell you. And I'd be fightin' my Mom over that purse and especially the lace. OMG. I can't believe you're giving this stuff away!

Oh my a Zne member who collects birds nests too??!!! I can't believe it! I have over 3 large shadow boxes full of over 30 different nests as well as feathers, actual hatchlings eggshells and whole eggs. I'm Lisaswings(obvious a bird lovers name), from Zne. Happy Anniversary!!! I also have a bird sactuary in my backyard as well as 4 inside birds. I never thought of using the nest in any artwork-I wouldn't want to part with any of them.
