It's time for a field trip!

I thought I'd share some photos from our trip to Scott's Antique Market today! It was a beautiful day in Georgia, windy but so pretty, mild and sunny. I think I may even have a slight sun/wind burn on my face!

Well, there was a great turnout at Scott's today and so many treasures! I hope you can get a feel for all the wonderful things that are at this antique market!

Look at all of these lamps created from everything but the kitchen sink!!

Here's Noah with his new yo-yo ~ He's such a good sport to go antiquing with us!

We loved this case for a fire extinguisher ~ isn't it wonderful?

How cool are these birdhouses? Just stick them in the ground with the pitchforks!

I love these two frames, I think they were 35.00 each or for the pair they'd do a discount.

Do you need a chandelier?

Why do I love these neat little chicken cubbies? Is that what they are?

I love this vintage photo of these children! Why didn't I buy this!!!

This artist was painting right outside!

I loved this gate but I think it was a reproduction ~ still loved the look!

Well, I only bought a few little treasures. A precious single baby shoe, tons of gorgeous old sheet music for my artwork, an old tobacco tin to turn into art, the neatest little handmade tool kit, and a little orphan annie stove . . . We really had a great time today!

I feel like I was there - thanks for all the photos! I like the artist guy and his bird painting. It will be a few more months before it's warm enough for an outdoor market here in southern Ontario.Canada!

Good morning, Dawn. Tracey from "Notes from a Cottage Industry" directed her blog readers to your site in order to share your Valentine contest! What a beautiful display of "Valentine Love"! I've cast my vote - it was a no-brainer! And should you want to "visit", my blog address is www.themineers.blogspot.com ("Joyce's World"). It's been a pleasure virtually "meeting" you and I'll be sure and add you to my favorites! Have a blessed Sunday and a wonderful week ahead. Joyce

Have you ever been to West Texas? It is very desolate here, I wish we had antique markets to go to, but no such luck. I would love to go to these type of markets. Here if you can't find in on the internet then forget it! Wish I could have been there!!!!

OHh, this makes me wish for summer! I am in 2 feet of snow up here and no markets for a few months. Can't wait to get back out there! Thanks for the great pics.

What a great field trip! I want to go next time. The chicken cubbies are what I call nesting boxes. I have some and they are great! We lived in a house without a mudroom. I had the nesting boxes just inside my front door. Each family member had a cubby or two for their shoes, gloves, etc. Currently mine are on my front porch - no room for them in this house. Maybe the next one.

I'm so sorry we didn't set up at Scotts this month so I could see you. We will be there in March, we set up on the front row, right by the road. You will know it's us, we park our travel trailer in our booth. Stop in and say Hi if you come in March, I'll have lots of great stuff.

You were very restrained...there's a lot of stuff there that I would have carted home (and go bankrupt!!). I love watching people pain, too, and I've rarely seen an artist sitting there with his easel. What a great time you must have had.

P.S. I already voted when you first posted about it :)))

Whoa! That was NOT a freudian slip. I meant to say I love watching people PAINT. I do not like watching "pain" at all at all...
