Sweet poem ~

"Hope" is the thing with feathers--

That perches in the soul--

And sings the song without the words--

And never stops--at all--

And sweetest--in the Gale--is heard--

And sore must be the storm--

That could abash the little Bird--

That kept so many warm--

I've heard it in the chillest land--

And on the strangest sea--

Yet, never, in Extremity,

It asked a crumb--of Me.

~ Emily Dickinson ~

Feel free to enlarge and right click my little bird, I scanned him in myself from an old book I found.

How beautiful! It's no wonder why I tend to judge a man's wisdom by his hope....

Have a happy day

That's always been one of my favorites. I've seen paintings and cards were they've just used the first 4 lines, but it is so much more lovely in it's entirety.

Thanks for sharing.
