I've decided we need drapes in our living room.
They will help keep this old farmhouse warm this winter and
we've had some chilly nights as of late!
I've had this wonderful fabric for years now...
gorgeous decorator fabric and a huge 12 yard cut!
So...rather than going out and buying new fabric
I thought, why not use what I have?
I know that the popular choice is neutrals, creams and such
but I still love this beautiful botanical fabric.
I'm going to create a couple of panels
for each window...so wish me luck!!!
I forgot to share this wonderful tote bag
I found on clearance the other day at Hobby Lobby!!!
It's was marked down to about six bucks....
I love how aged it looks!
You can barely see the printed "France" and logo on the front ~
The blue striped lining made it even more irresistible!!!
While at Hobby Lobby the other day, I found the neatest lined laundry basket...
yes, it was in the clearance section but I kept telling myself,
you have five of those willow baskets at home!!!
So I hope to sew a simple linen liner in one and then fill it with
some of my antique lace. Just so I can dig and dig fast!!!
Making my supplies visible helps me so much in the creative process.
I found this treasure while Christmas shopping a few weeks ago.
It is a beautiful table runner!!!
But me, being the crazy girl I am...
I want to make some wonderful things from one simple runner.
Maybe lavender sachets for my Etsy?
We'll see!!!
Seems like the new year has me reeling with ideas!!!!
And you know I'll share what I actually get accomplished with you too!
Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Happy New Year sweet Dawn. Can't wait to see what you whip up!
Dawn,
I know whatever you do will be awesome!
I love you are "shopping at home" to make your life better. That's a good mind-set.
I wish I were more crafty and decision like you are!
The most beautiful decorator fabric, will look wonderful as drapes, in your living room, my dearest Dawn- so great to have a bunch of gorgeous fabric`s to use from!
Your buyes are lovely, too, the table runner will make many beautiful backgrounds for your wonderful creations.
Such a happy and energic start of 2013 sweet friend!
Love and hugs, across the big waters. Dorthe
I love your choice of fabrics for the curtains! Can't beat a beautiful rose design as far as I am concerned. Looking forward to seeing the finished drapes.
Those drapes will look fabulous! I love the print. And I need to check my local HL for some deals....I really like that tote bag. God Bless...Diane
You've got some great plans already, Dawn! That fabric will make for beautiful panels. Great runner! Love that document print fabric. I have a few here myself. Can't wait to see what you come up with for it.
Happy new year Dawn! Wonderful finds! That tote is delicious!

Awesome! Can't wait to see what you create next! I found a huge wicker laundry basket at Goodwill for $5. now I just have to figure out where the heck I am going to use it; it's too nice for laundry! Maybe under my work table for storage too ...
I just have to keep the cats out of it ;)
De kolde nætter kan få enhver kvinde til at ofre sit dyrebare stof, men det vil jo også se smukt ud når det kommer op at hænge, og vil tage en masse træk, held og lykke med gardin fremstillingen, knus morkaren.
Beautiful fabric~your drapes will be gorgeous! Love your shopping finds too-esp. the tote bag!
Happy New Year Dawn!! Sounds like your pump is primed and you are ready to produce some lovely creations. The new year affects me in just that same way, but of course no creating can begin until all of Christmas is packed away. ugh. I just love the rose fabric and think your panels will be so beautiful in your home. Roses never go out of style in my book. You found some great items to have fun with. I am hoping to resurrect my blog as of yesterday. The last couple of years have demanded my attention elsewhere and I am hoping 2013 holds a different outcome. Have a beautiful day my friend.
Isn't it exciting to have new projects on the go? Your drapery botanical print is lovely - classic designs like that will always be in style.
I love that table runner fabric and your idea for repurposing it.
Enjoy the moments!
Dig and dig fast really does work. Why do I always think that everything must be stored individually? Makes no sense. Wonderful finds and I can't wait to see the living room all decked out in that fabric. Who cares what the current trend is?!
(I read the most snarky article today about trends that designers hope will bite the dust in 2013. Let's just say that I'm "guilty" of half at least.)
Dawn... keep those ideas coming as it seems like it was all meant to be. The drapery fabric is delightful and I can't wait to see the finished panels! The tote was a delicious bargain.. who could have resisted that! And good for you to realize that you have the baskets at home and all they would need would be your creative touch! Happy New Year!
fabric is lovely... love the tote...just wanted to send wishes for a very year filled with wonderful moments...
Its beautiful material...I say go with what you have and love..its so hard trying to keep up with fashion...I don't try, can't afford to and don't wish too :)
I like your finds, they are all nice things...blessings friend
Oh sweet friend, I don't take the time to comment as I should, but I always am smiling when I leave. Happy New Year to you and yours and may 2013 bring more dreams coming true. Love, Nancy
I bought the same vintage look bag at Hobby Lobby. Are you planning on embellishing it in any way with vintage photos, medals, old buttons, etc. I really want to add a pocket out side (sunglass size) and maybe one or two inside. Ideas?
looks like lots a fun coming up
the drapes will be beautiful.

PS love the bag and table runner too.
It's wonderful to see your newest finds, Dawn, and--especially--to see you so excited, wheels spinning, as you toss project ideas around in your talented head.: )♥ xoxo
