Yes...my sweet friends...I am STILL working on the curtains and am
just about ready to throw them all in the burn barrel out back!
I do love them but I'm just SICK of them,
do you know what I mean?
I have so many other projects to work on
but feel that I need to finish these
before I can move on to other things.
So today I will share past pics with you and can
only hope that you love them and they make you smile!!!

I'll never forget the day I walked into my local thrift store
and walked over to the curtain section...and my eyes fell on this precious thing!!!!
I just about fainted!!!
It's only one panel but I didn't care ~ it truly made my heart sing!
I've never had the heart to cut it up, to turn it into something other
than what it is. I should just hang it like a piece of artwork....
I treasure old linens...
and always think of the time and effort
spent to create their loveliness.
I hope you have a beautiful Thursday dear friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

I think you need a break from those curtains, speaking from experience when something gives me a hard time I just walk away for however long till I get my head in the right frame of mind and then just go back to them. Otherwise you might do something you'll really reget!! lol! take care, Maryann
After 6 months I still have only a couple of courtains...
Darling Dawn thank you for all thatn lovely cards, they are too cute!!
I'll save them!

Dawn,
can't wait to see the next project!

Just think how good it will feel when you finally finish those curtains:) AND I know they will be beautiful! Have a blessed and productive day, HUGS!
I think I agree with Maryann maybe you need to walk away for a few days. I think the fabric you have is beautiful and the ruffle made them look custom but you know what you need. You know the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" so maybe a break from them will give you new love for them later!!!! What ever you do I think they are beautiful and you have done a great job of sewing them.
I too have unfinished projects..that get done in due time..not to fret. Your treasures are wonderful. I also have a "few" items that I can't bear to cut into that are displayed just for their lovlyness. Linens and vintage baby clothes always find their way home with me like stray little kittens. Thank you for sharing!
Right out in the burn bin, eh? LOL...so sorry for the frustration they have caused you not to mention the disappointment. Thanks, though, for the chuckle and the knowledge that not everything is lollipops and roses all the time. Set it aside for a bit. When you return to it, things will go more smoothly. Have a fun and productive day!
Love the beautiful roses, Dawn. Thanks for sharing these postcards. I love your style--thanks for bringing some beauty to this dark morning!

Ugh... large projects are a pain, aren't they? Seems they take forever and plugging away to finish them isn't fun. Hope they are off your To Do list soon so you can get back to more enjoyable things! But I know they will come out beautifully.
Love the thrift store curatin panel! I was amazed to find lace curtains at our local GW for only $3 - and they were perfect for my craft room. You just never know what you're going to find. I also treasure the old handkerchiefs with all the embroidery and lace. I have a few drawers of them!
Oh sweet friend,-
Some projects feel endless, and so stressing! Thye will give a happy feeling when they one day hangs in your sleeping room.
Thankyou for all the lovely cards, and the view of another beautiful curtain panel,-there is so much beauty in your home, and you so lovingly shares it with us,-Thankyou dear Dawn.
Hugs and love,Dorthe
I'm in agreement with some of the others.. just put it away for a bit. I've had to do that on occasion. When you go back, you'll be refreshed and can look at the project with a less jaundiced attitude. Whenever I'm not really in the mood for a project I make more stupid mistakes... I've learned not to push it. Move on to something else and come back to it is my motto!!!
At least it's nice to know someone of your creativity and talent goes through the same issues I do...!
Thanks for sharing such beautiful images and photos in this post Dawn! So much inspiration!
Hi, don't burn them just take a break and create something you really really really want to do. Bake anything and then they will be in your heart again. hugs and the cards are pretty. xoxo
Hello to the sweet Dawn!
You are not by yourself about being flustered. Had to get away from everything today. I decided I would go to Scott's today. Spent the day there and also went to Michael's. Wanted to go to Hobby Lobby but was too tired. Also, on the way home I stopped and got an ice cream cone. Tomorrow, I will get out the paint brush.
Hugs,
Faye
