Speckled, Rusty and Crusty ~

A wonderful photograph I found for you
at Antique Griffin the other day ~

Who would have ever thought that I would love rusty things ~
crusty old windows ~
or even pistachio shells??

Yes. Pistachio shells!
Today a little mail love arrived....
Hand painted pistachio shells that look just like teeny tiny bird eggs!!!
Sweet Sandy of Quill Cottage painted these and gifted them to me.
Can you believe how gorgeous and realistic they look??
Thank you so much Miss Sandy ~ I love them so much!
Each one is a little piece of art...

The rusty? A few more goodies I found at Antique Griffin
while I was putting things in my space...
I was joking with the owner telling them they get us
coming and going....first rent, then buying goodies every time we come in!

Just something I want to show you.
A precious doll coat Deborah gave me....
cinched with lace and old watch cases ~
it's so beautiful to me.

And the crusty old window?
Here it is finished, ready to go to the antique mall ~
Simple, understated and hopefully it will look well with
several different styles of decorating....

Kasey of Lola B's is having a beautiful things

Mary of Green Paper

Whew! Sorry for the humongous post!!!
Sometimes I get carried away and
just want to share so much with you ~

I'm so excited...Friday I am getting to meet
Cheryl of Zany Mayd!!!
We are meeting at Scott's Antique Market
for a day of junkin' together....
rain, rain go away :)

Thank you so very much for taking the time to leave me a comment,
each one is precious to me ~

Wishing you a very happy Thursday dear friends!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn, I can't believe how beautiful your finished window looks! Those little pistachio shells are adorable...so many cool things in this post. If your readers are interested, I just posted about yoyo quilt flowers inspired by Flea Market Style magazine, on my blog. They are so easy to make, I know some of your readers will want to try them this weekend!

Your blog is the only one I read everyday. I mean the mind (my mind) can only take in so much at a time- and then the wheels start turning-

Hey friend,
Where to begin....first of all the painted shells, brilliant! I am in love with that simple idea. She did them perfectly too. Just last week you were talking about not being able to find the robins egg blue eggs. There you go. Then I have to tell you how jealous I am that you get to hang with Cheryl. She is one of my very favorites. Say hi for me. The little box of rusty goodness is making me want to reach into my computer screen & snatch them. Girl, you find the BEST stuff! Those will be perfect in your assemblages. Well, I'm off to find those give-aways. Have a great day. Lisa

Hello Miss D. Thank you for posting about my giveaway. You always bless.

Those little eggs are amazing. And, I'm right there with you...loving the crusty, worn, beaten down stuff that too often ends up in the junkyard.

Love it all!

Thank you...thank you.
