I love the process of gathering elements that I think
will work together in an art piece ~
I found this luggage pocket the other day,
I had used color remover on it (you know, from Rit Dye)
and it turned the most beautiful blond color.
(I can't remember the former color either!)
Well, I've been meaning to make another piece
with this wonderful woman's image that I love
so the process has begun.
I took a few photos just to give you an idea of what
I'm thinking of. Maybe fill the pocket with beautiful
items she may love????
Then I became obsessed with these sweet little peat pots
that I have ~ they are only about 2 1/2" tall but I want transform
them into precious little tree ornament baskets to hold candies ~
We'll have to see how they turn out,
you just never know when an idea will bottom out on you!!!
I hope all is going so good in your world ~
Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Very lovely. The fun of gathering bits and pieces and then putting them together is quite an art and you are the artist. Blissfully Creative...
I agree..and my desk looks like I do more gathering than creating!
Your vintage piece looks wonderful already, and I like the peat pot idea. I have some of those wee ones myself. Happy creating.
Det ser godt ud, du skal nok få noget dejligt kreativt ud af lomme og vintage billed. knus morkaren,
Dawn,
My sewing/quilting/crafting room should be the 'danager zone' with tools, drills, pins, needles, irons, cords and holy cow, is there room to walk in this room?
working on a bench and recovering it tufted style.. what a mess and how am I suppose to take photos that look somewhat decent without all this 'stuff' scattered around?
whew.. okies, so I feel much better now.
warm hugs and sharing your side of the story too.

No time for creating for me this week, Dawn. The husband is on vacation and I just never seem to get to anything when he's home. Plus, we are getting new carpet in the two bedrooms today, so my house is upside down again!
What a gorgeous project. The composition is beautiful, love the added material too. Have a wonderful day. -Al
Can't wait to see your creations Dawn! You are so inspiring!
I must buy some color remover because I have an antique pocket that needs that treatment! Love your ideas!
I love pea pots and love luggage pockets! You always create such beautiful things Dawn!
You are such an inspiration! The luggage pocket, what a great idea!
It is fun to know the process that you go through. Lovely beginning assemblages...
So pretty!
Oh, Dawn, your new "work in progress" is already so beautiful... I can't wait to see the finished piece!
xoxo
Hi Dawn, I have started a monthly giveaway! Can you let your bloggers know? It would be so nice if it was a big success. I am working on a post with more little birdes for you. Thank you so much, Louise
Needless to say, you have a very creative eye. I'm loving what I see with the woman's portrait and suitcase pocket so far. Lovely. I've got all kinds of ideas in my head about things I want to create. I think I'd better start writing them down or something before I forget what it was I was wanting to do! LOL
I collect elements too as you say. I like those words! I never quite know how it will end up except with a few ideas to get started. Then I start browsing and collecting other elements to see if they should be added. I love your started piece and I am sure it will be beautiful!
Smiles, Cyndi
