Hunting for the goodies to create with
is JUST as wonderful!!!!
Here's a precious babe image for you dear friends ~
I actually ventured out of the house and did a little treasure hunting!
(With the price of gas around here I've been very hesitant :)
"Little" is the key word here as I didn't find much, but I'm happy.....
A sweet old pattern, or maybe it's not even old....but I love the chicks!!
Oh, and it was FREE too! You gotta love free, right?
I have a teeny obsession with old leather goods ~
this is an old key ring thing....I love the aged leather.
I found this at Hobby Lobby. What is it?
It's artificial sinew. What's that?
I don't really know but knew it would be wonderful
to use to tie up twigs and such.
I found an assortment of corks too.
They are in several different sizes to fit some of the
bottles I want to alter!
I've been obsessing about this old pocketwatch....
I want to put a wonderful little assemblage inside ~
I've pulled this out too....I have GOT to make something neat from this too ~
I don't have anything good to show you that I've made....
but I sure have found some good stuff!!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with those who have suffered the awful
devastation from the bad weather we've been having lately ~
We've been spared in the past few storms.....
I hope you are doing so good.
I thank you so much for stopping by here.
And thank those who have purchased my artwork....
Have a beautiful Friday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Great treasures Dawn!!
Shopping is it's own kind of creativity.
The creative mind, seeking with creative eyes to find treasures for the creative heart and hands.
Hey, I just made that up, but it sounds pretty good. =)

Hello dear, sweet Dawn-you found wonderful things, the key holder looks so soft and the sinew and corks, are both great materials for your wonderful art pieces. Now the clock is wonderful-and the gorgeus box? -too, with the text-I`m waiting to see the beautiful things your creative mind will come up with, my sweetie.
I wish you a pretty and good friday, dear friend.
Love and hugs-xxx Dorthe
I have a few treasures I want to get together in a project also.
I am curious to see what you do with the key chain because I have about 6 of those.
I've got several of those old Phonograph cases, my brother has the actual phonograph that belonged to my great grandparents. I have some neat ones with great graphics on the sides that I used to hold my dry paintbrushes and small tools on my work desk. If you figure out something to do with it I would love to see it. Hugs!
We know that we'll see all this good stuff again in new and wonderful ways. Were you in any rough weather over the past several days? I thought of you and wondered because the storms were so widespread.
I so need to get busy........ Make something Denise , make something!
If that first photo (of the child) doesn't make you go "awwww - how darling!" then you're probably comatose!
Great finds, Dawn
Isn't sinew, like the stuff they string tennis rackets, you know like cat-gut, not sure if that is what they really use, but I heard it somewhere....anyway, i think its suppose to be very strong....

wonderful treasures you found! Can't wait to see what beautiful things you will create with them.Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,

I predict you will love the artificial sinew. I picked up a big roll at a thrift store some years ago and have been using it ever since. It is great because it has a kind of waxy coating that holds a knot and I am NO GOOD at knots!
Dawn ~
Those are wonderful finds!!
I know you will come up with some
precious and adorable things ~
Thank you for your sweetness today!
xoxo

Hello sweet Dawn,
Oh what a wonderful picture! I love to collect these cabinet cards. What sweet treasures you found. Perfect for you to create with! Have a blessed weekend!
Debbie
Great treasures and wonderful pictures of them... that wonderful natural color twine I believe is for book binding, but it would look wonderfull wrapped on twigs or for tying a vintage looking tag. I love the feel of your blog. thanks for sharing.
Oh Dawn, You found the most fabulous little stuff. I would love to go treasure hunting with you. Come to MS and we'll go.
Good Morning, Dawn! I think you found great little treasures. Hmmm...that leather key case...maybe a tiny book cover? With charms hanging from the hooks? Love that record cylinder! Our gas prices aren't too bad here...yet! Not up to $4 that's for sure.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs and blessings, Diane
your finds Dear Dawn are so sweet. I went to a yard sale this morning, it felt really good to look at books for a quarter. So I bought a couple that I will read and one for Jenny my daughter. One month till our Kayla has her baby girl. this will be my great granddaughter (Annabel) I can stop buying little outfits, they are so cute. I will be flying to Washington State after she is born. I can hardly wait. Hugs, mary
Hi Dawn, Your treasures tickle my fancy. I especially LOVE that old record cylinder. I know you will make something wonderful and imaginative with everything. The old pocket watch is a treasure and a sweet assemblage is the perfect thing. Show us!

Sherry
