I finished my piece of artwork!
Funny, huh?
I have tons to do for the anniversary party....
and NOW I want to create!
Just crazy.....
For purchase HERE too!
I have a habit of turning things that are pristine
into a grunged up mess ~
into a grunged up mess ~
I used to love pristine too!
Now, if it looks like you dragged it behind a car for a few miles,
it got rained on and dried out, I'm happy ~
I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday sweet friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn it is beautiful in that dragged behind a car and left out in the rain kind of way!
The next time you are out dragging something around. I want to follow you, with my scissors.

Give me grunge, give me grunge! I love grunge. I am a grunge girl. Go grunge! Can you tell I am a grunge kind of woman. I knew this would ne beautiful when I saw a peek at it in one of your earlier posts and I was right.

It takes all the sting out of getting anything mussed up now doesn't it? She turned out so beautifully. What a sweet, dear face.

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
You create such beauty, Dawn! I know you are so busy and still find time to make me drool:)
Have a blessed day my friend! HUGS!
I love this piece!!
Just lovely Dawn as always my dear. I love how you stick to a color palette. It gives your creations such a peaceful feeling.
Beautiful Dawn! You've done it again!
You're so busy with the anniversary preparations, yet you still find time to create this! Do you ever sleep? : )
It is funny how our change our feelings about the art we make. I was crazy for anything folk art and was always searching for it where ever I went. Even did a few things to sell at our church bazaar years ago. Now when I see these type of items, I don't really like it. But who knows, I could change my mind again.
Thank you for the lace hints, I was out bidded on a bag of really lovely old lace on e-Bay...next time. But for now I think tea dyed will be just fine. I posted the little pin cushion houses that I did.
I also posted a couple of pictures of our new baby girl (Granddaughter)...Halle, I am in love!!!!
Your friend Dear Dawn, Mary
What a beauty you have once again created. I wish I could attend the class you are going to be teaching. But since I can't, I will read your blog and carry on :-) Thanks yet again for being you!
Good morning sweet Dawn, and welcome to a new bussy and hopefully beautifull day for you.
Your "messy" collage, is just wonderfull, I too, love when things looks like "dansed on" and you made this look wonderfully grunged and timeworn, so sweet and beautifull, dear friend.
Love and big hug.

Soooo gorgeous friend!!!! oh goodness you are a joy. Blessings and light, Amy
Dear Dawn, I love what you did to the roses, you'd never know that they were new and not vintage. You made them perfect for the piece. So lovely, as always. Love, Penny
This is like icing on a cake - it tops it all, sweet, delicious, and delectable! LOVE IT! Perhaps those invites are opening a new door to your creativity, thanks for sharing a bit of berath taking beauty.
Were you in Washington the other day? I was following someone who was doing just that. I thought I recognized you. LOL Love what your doing but please don't liter the highways...
Dawn:
Anytime I need to feel calm, I come to your blog. The colors in your art and the all around soft feel of your blog is actually quite dreamy. Thank you for sharing the new piece. It's absolutely beautiful!

P.S. Just a side note ~ I'm having an art give-away on my blog this week! If you have a spare moment, stop by if you like!
now where does a person find whole spools of sweet seam binding? I can only "seam" to find it on etsy...
I always want to create when I'm under pressure to meet another deadline of some kind. I know it's because it creates an outlet for any stress.
Your pieces are amazing! I always receive so much inspiration here!

It is just complete perfection, Dawn!
And your comments about looking like it was dragged behind a car totally cracked me up. I'm the same way!
Love ya,
Anne
Perhaps because I left so many "perfectly good" toys and books out in the rain as a child, I am drawn to grunged up well loved beauty too. I cannot count the number of books, stuffed animals and dollies I left under the old apple tree, only for the rain or dew to "ruin"! lol They always seemed even more perfect, days later and post rescue, to me. Your collage is HEAVENLY, Dawn! xoxo Andy
I love the elegant grunge look~ You definitely elevate the ordinary~Really lovely!!!
Incredibly beautiful Dawn. It screams a Dawn Creation! I love it.
Tracy :)
