Did I ever tell you that I hate painting??

But it's a necessary evil in the antiquing biz....
Not that these goodies are antiques
but I wanted to give them a fresh look!
I try to make them more versatile...

Simple cream satin paint....very lightly distressed.
Now hopefully this will work in more homes than it would have previously.

My amaryllis is just about touching the ceiling!!! What's up with that?

I put the final coat on the table....soft cream satin paint ~

A simple chalkboard on a cabinet door ~

There's something so wonderful about
seeing others create from your instructions ~
Sweet Minna Marika of Lumivalkoista
(which means "Snow White")
bought my Nest Baby in a Jar tutorial,
created the little sweetie and it's PRECIOUS!!!

Thank you so much Minna Marika for buying my tutorial and
for sharing your beautiful creation with me ~

I'm off to Antique Griffin today to stock up!!!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday dear friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Minna Marika's Nest Baby IS adorable!

Dawn - I am surprised that you don't like to paint. But I know you love the results. I only like to paint if the surface is big and flat and smooth and does not need prep. Guess I don't like to paint either.

Hey girl,
Isn't it funny how a little cream colored paint can elevate the simpliest piece of anything to a treasure!? We need to talk about that tole lamp I see in the reflection of the mirror! Is that the guest bedroom, you know the one for me to stay in? You've been a busy girl. I was reading Art Quilts today on the road & couldn't stop looking at your beautiful work in this issue. Your images printed on the muslin are so crisp & clear, you'll have to share your secrets with me. Oh, I'm starting to comment like Rose. No, I only have 100 words. LOL Have a blessed Easter my friend. Lisa
PS Did you read my email yet?

Hi Dawn, I'm with you, I hate painting too, but things look so much better! Your mirror and table are lovely in that creamy white.
I discovered your pretty box redux in Somerset Life today. I love it. I am trying to repurpose lots of trash and that is a sweet idea to line the box too.
Happy Easter!

THAT should work for most people...there are very few things in our home that are not white or off white.
I bet that is so with a lot of us.

Your Tuts must be very clear to follow...she did a great job, with that one.

Hi Dawn,
Happy Easter to you and your
family.

I haven't been by in a little
while and absolutely love your
new header. It is so sweet
and charming.

I agree, too, about painting
but projects look so nice once
they are completed.

Hope you are having a nice day.
