Isn't this image beautiful? She would be gorgeous in your artwork....
A gift from Brad, it had fallen from it's limb....
Great jars to use for artwork, and now I remember
why they don't smell like dill....
because they were bread and butter pickles!!

Some beautiful trim was just too white
for my project so into a hot coffee bath it went!

Ahhh, now it has that soft aged look I love ~
A tiny glimpse at all of the projects I've been working on!!
I found this calendar at Michael's for a dollar!!!
The paper is really thin, but I don't care,
the photographs are of the most wonderful things ~

i use coffee to dye things too...it makes the perfect shade of aged...it looks like you have been busy over there Dawn!!!
That image is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. It looks like you are off to a great start on some projects for 2010. I can't wait to see what you create this year!
Oooh, that trim is gorgeous! I usually dye with tea, must try coffee sometime.
Oh, you found goodies! And thank you for passing on the lovely painting.
Dawn, did you know, that as the trim is drying, if you sprinkle on a little cinnamon and ground cloves, that the scent of those will stay but the coffee scent will go away? I've tried it on my stamped and stained muslin ribbons and really like it. The spices don't absorb into the cloth so when the coffee dries, you have to shake them over the sink to get rid of them, but I didn't mind having to do that.
I use instant coffee a lot and someone also suggested instant tea, which scent I like a whole lot better so I'm going to have hubby buy a jar at the store today when he runs errands.
Hugs! A Happy start to the New Year for you is wished!
Diane
Dawn:
It looks like you've already got some wonderful things planned for the new year. Can't wait to see more, my friend.

Morning Dawn,
Happy new year, friend!!! I bought the same calendar. I couldn't believe it was a dollar. wahoo! I hope you have the best year ever. I really enjoyed your smile slideshow. Speak to you soon,
Tammy
I always hate to pour out my husbands left over coffee...I don't drink coffee....but know I can find an artistic use for it!! And I am off to Michaels to find that calendar...quite lovely. Thanks ever so much for sharing!
I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get a New Year's message from THE Dawn from THE Feathered Nest! Thank you! I visit you almost every day and you always have something that is so inspirational to me! Come visit me again - I'm having a little giveaway. --Connie
I bought that very calendar - aren't the pictures breathtaking?!
I thought I bought one of those $1.00 calendars at Michaels back in November. I turned my house upside down this past week looking for it, but I guess I never did buy it {I must have thought I'd be back and could get it closer to the end of the year}. You look busy ~ can't wait to see what you've been up to!
No problems following you all around a busy post. I learned something...a coffee bath instead of a tea bath...I'm going to try it.
Love the randomness of your post. I think that happens in the new year alot when so much comes to mind for new beginnings. Love the aging process. One cup for me and one for the lace! Happy New Year Dawn. I don't think I thanked you for stopping by earlier, it was much appreciated.
Dawn , my girl , you have been busy -- I need to get in gear here also !! Still in happy baby mode -- but gotta get busy -- Stay warm friend --
so cold today -- Kathy -ga ♥
I also use coffee and love that soft aged look it gives to my fabrics. That first image is absolutely stunning!
xoxo

Dawn,
Love your 'random' post. I am going to have to head over to Michael's and look for that calendar. I love your black album page that your working with. I've never seen one like that. I have some really pretty ones with flowers and Victorian illustrations but that black one just makes the art POP. Lisa
I love everything -- but I had to laugh at the lace in the coffee, because before I read the post, I was admiring the pretty pattern your cream made in your coffee!
Hi Dawn: I got the same calendar at Michaels...matter of fact I scanned some of the images and made a new header for my blog. The pictures are beautiful and shabby!!!
Take care~Chris
Sweet picture! Loving the calendar!
I got that same calendar! It's so beautiful! I hope all is well with you! Sorry, I haven't been around in awhile!!!
