Thought for the day ~

Today I'm going with my friend Dawn to have lunch with an old classmate....who we haven't seen in over 30 years!!! YIKES! Oh well, I've changed, she's changed and I'm sure he's changed as well. Seems life has a way of doing that to you when you're not looking.

I can remember when my husband and I were married, I was 19 and he was 21....we were just babes ~ but it was wonderful!!! I can remember thinking my parents were ANCIENT at that time but guess how old they were?? FORTY ONE....forty one, my gosh, that sounds so young to me now!

My thought for the day?
Enjoy each moment of each day
as time passes so very quickly

Speaking of growing a teeny bit older,
I just have to wish dear Rose of Bella Rosa a very Happy Birthday!!!
Her husband is out of town all week and I know she'll be missing him so ~

Even though Rose, please pamper yourself and have a wonderful day sweet friend!!!

Some goodies from my scanned in folder that I may have given you
already but here they are again ~

Sweet images from a very old coloring book that I cleaned up ~
Would they look wonderful as redwork?

Rose found a sweet new blogger and I have to share her with you!!
Her name is Keren of Free Pretty Things For You
and she is so kind to share her wonderful ideas!!
Welcome the the land of blog dear Keren ~

Wishing you an great Monday sweet friends,
hugs and love,

It's been a busy weekend & I didn't see the earlier post. Girl! You got a space! I know it will be beautiful, send photos. I hope you have a good time at lunch. Rosa's post about aging & now yours has really got me thinking. I have always looked the same. Young...Until about 5 years ago. Don't know if it's the 30 pounds I've gained, or the triplets, but I suddenly don't look like myself. Not bad, just different. It's something to get used to that's for sure. Like I told Rosa, if it gets too bad there is always Botox! Lisa

Thanks so much for the coloring book image, I am going to use it for red work, like you mentioned. I have a whole redwork embroidered quilt I made years ago before I had kids and had lots more time. Now I just do quick easy projects!! I am blessed to own a redwork pillow that my Grandfather embroidered when he was young and very sick and needed something to keep his mind off not being able to go outside and play!!!
