Tiny dresses make me smile :)

My sweet friend Rose knows just what I love! She emailed me a few days ago to let me know about an Ebay auction of fifteen little doll slips, FIFTEEN! Well...I won them!!! They've already arrived and I love them all. Now I need to get busy turning them into something wonderful. But really, they are great just the way they are ~ with their little stains, rips and patina of age ~
Thank you for thinking of me Rose!

Wishing you a wonderful Friday dear friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

hello Dawn! I adore little dollie dresses...I think part of my more ardent love recently is because I am in training to become a NICU nurse and just had a preemie two years ago. The nurses would ask me to bring doll clothes to dress him! :) So believe it or not, there are tiny little miracles that can actually wear these adorable outfits, which make them all the more loveable (to me).

Hey, the little dresses would make a darling cafe rod style curtain for a window in your studio! :) Blessings!

Oh sweet baby slips -- and the days and times , children wore them -- the tales they could tell - of Easter - b-day parties and photo sessions -- with chubby knees and elbows and dimples in both -- with smiles all, around and nary a frown -- Oh that is what little girls are made of -- Hmm somehow that rhymes -- need to do a hanging with that - lol -- Love them -- have a couple myself =- Blessings Kathy - ga

Dawn- I have a several too. They are sweet and so soft. I also have a thing for baby shoes- they don't even have to be that old. What is up with that? I took your advice yesterday and was "artful" (that's my new word) and it really worked. Thanks as always. Joy

Oh how I LOVE them all!!!!! You are such a lucky girl. I had already decided to start looking for them & tiny baby dresses in white. You will crack up what I want them for... My trailer (like the one I showed my friend had) well, they have awnings on them & on her other one (I haven't posted yet) she is using old lace & doilies & such on the awning (which I had thought of but, then she told me she was doing that) So, I switched & thought baby & doll dresses & slips all in white amoung some old pieces of lace. Funny how things all come together when we all love similar things. We each love them but, then use them differently. Have a wonderful weekend & enjoy those little treasures. IF YOU SEE MORE... let me know. Hugs.

Dawn..thank you so much for visiting me, sometimes I just sit and wallow in my own "poor pitiful me" and need a little pick me up from sweet friends! As far as the paint and flooring goes, I am serious..I know Macon is a drive but the store is on Arkwright and Billy says if you tell him who you are he will give you the best deal and deliver to you!!
I love the doll slips, love them and cannot wait to see what you dream up with them!!

I have a few of these, I look at them and think of the little ones. It has been a little crazy here, I keep thinking I will get started doing more on my blog.
Arney started back to work today. He was home 4 months. I felt a little lost today without him.
But he had a wonderful day, they were so glad to have him back which made him feel really good.
So now to settle into my day. It has been all about him, and ya kinda get lost in that.
Hugs, Mary

Hi Dawn,
Its been so long since I have visited and I am so sorry. I have been taking classes since Feb. and it has taken much of my visiting blog time away. I see your adorable little dresses.. yes, they are so fun.. I have so many myself. Do you just sell them or use them to make art stuff?
Hope you are doing well and happy. Hugs, Darlene

They are great just the way they are! I'd love to see them each framed in a shadow box and hung on a wall in a grouping.
Love your little Ellie photo - precious!

Dawn....well, it pays to have friends in all the right places , at the RIGHT time.
I have a couple of almost naked dolls that could use a couple of those.
Can't wait to see what you do with them.
