I finally finished the little fairy shoes!!!! They were quite time consuming but I'm very happy with the way they turned out.

I love fairies ~ maybe they remind me of being a little girl, I don't know.
Of course, I see them as little sweet pixies, helping animals and living in the forest.
The world is full of so much stress and bad things but sometimes it's nice to stop and think on something sweet and simple .... such as fairy shoes ~

Dawn those fairy shoes came out stunning! I love them!! My youngest saw them and is having fits :) She said she will trade you the shoes for lifetime supply of things from our yard incl. humming bird nests lol ;) They truly came out better than anything I was picturing in my head :) You seem to out do yourself with each new creative endeavor...Rose

Just a quick note to say hello and tell you how much I enjoy your posts. (Even though I have not commented for quite some time.) I will be out of town Sept 1, but hope there is still an issue of Somerset Studio in the store when I return. I, too, adore the work of Lisa Kaus and am very fortunate to live near her and have the opportunity to take classes in her incredible studio. (Isn't it FUN being spoiled??!!)

oh my Dawn!!! how sweet those are...no small wonder they were so time consuming...look at all those wee tiny feathers you used for trimming...not to mention the perfectly placed leaves for the outer covering...well worth the effort spent i say, the end result is just gorgeous!!!

The little Fairy shoes are just precious and I love the simpler times they represent. My little "Fairy in a Jar" will be going to school with me this fall. I have a feeling that with 450+ kids, I'll need the mental break that she will bring by just being there on my desk:)

Pat told me about these little slippers when she & Candy & I all got together for lunch. CUTE!!!! I guess I missed it when I was gone to Denver for the funeral. I love the way they turned out.
