Puppies, cats, glue & baby bibs . . .

An adorable photo that my ten year old took ~ dog and cat resting comfortably together!! (sorry it's so blurry)

The glue that I discovered at Michael's Friday ~ maybe it will work on the pearl pins a little better. The next bottle I buy is going to be The Crafter's Pick . . . I love having TONS of glue!

A tiny tattered bib ~ stains and all. I discovered this the other day when I bought the doll clothes and forgot to picture it. No one loved it anymore so I had to bring it home. Just look at that sweet embroidery!! Maybe I could use it for fabric on a pincushion, how precious would it look popping out of a baby shoe?

Thank you ALL so, so very much for all of your kind comments about the magazine!!!! I truly am about to bust about it! You all are always so encouraging and sweet, I thank you for that.

I can remember being in the library when I was in middle school (back then we called it Junior High, oh well) and enjoying looking at magazines! I would grab the current issue of Teen and Glamour, find a table and just pour over each of them. Reading tips and enjoying the ads. Remember Pam Dawber in the Sweet Honesty ad?? Oh well, I'm sounding quite old. But anyway, I enjoyed magazines then and I still enjoy them to this day. And to actually have something that I made be featured in one, is such a dream come true!! I sound like I've won an Oscar but I guess it's my Oscar . . . thank you for encouraging me and helping me feel good enough to even try!!

Wishing you all a very Happy Father's Day!

Hello Dawn! Happy Sunday to you and thank you for your fun and thoughtful blog. I have featured a photo you took on you vacation trip on my blog today as it was so very fitting. I hope I have your blessing to use it. You are a great photographer. Coming here for a visit is like losing myself in the pages of Victoria magazine...

I finally got my hands on a copy of Romantic Country yesterday - saw the pictures of your pincushions - I'm going to have to try one of those!
Will be interested to see how the glue works!

Hi Dawn - The little posies with the rabbit are so sweet. You will make this pieced LOVED again! I can't wait to read the magazine... and thanks for letting us get a peek at it yesterday. Sweet Honesty was the first perfume that was mine. The 20 bottles bestowed upon me by my auntie were fun to try on (all at the same time) (whew!) but not my choice. My mother also bought me one of the T-shirts in soft pink - I loved the type-print of the 'Sweet Honesty'.

Oh girl, you are NOT old!! Pam Dawber in those ads makes you still quite youthful..and remember, age is in our heads and can only take us where we want it to!!! hee!!!

That baby's bib is adorable...and now it's been rescued by you!!!

I think your little bib is perfect for one of your baby shoe pin cushions!

Gush all you want to girl, you earned it! I know exactly what you are feeling, when my first freelance article was published I just floated around! I wish I had better words to describe it, it is not about attention but about acknowledgment that you have something to contribute or something worth sharing. I am so proud of you for stepping out into your dream!

Can't wait for the upcoming Sommerset issue!

Oh, and the Pam Dawber Sweet Honesty thing, yeah, I remember, I wore the fragrance!

I love the photo. I wish my dog and cat could lie down peacefully together like that. Our dog is constantly harassing the poor cat. The lion and the lamb, they aren't! ;-)

I've always loved magazines as well. I don't buy them often due to the expense, but I plan to get a copy of the one featuring your work! That's a great magazine, too. :-)

congrats on being featured in the magazine! the little bib is adorable..wonder if a little soak in peroxide would take out the milk/formula stain?
or oxyclean?

I love the images--they are so sweet--and, guess what? We had chicken enchiladas, too! My daughter's husband had asked for them special yesterday, and so we had those for dinner last night and got to enjoy some family time with some of the grandkids. Nice to know your family, also, had a great Father's Day. ~Jann

I miss a few days, and look what happens. I miss your AMAZING news!! I am so excited for you!! Congratulations and happy, joyful cyber-hugs to you.

I, too, am a magazine junkie. I think being featured in a magazine would actually feel better than an Oscar. So, double congratulations from an admirer. So happy for you!
