Thank you all so very much for all of the sweet, kind and uplifting comments you left me for my giveaway.
You all sure know how to make a girl feel wonderful!!
I just love having giveaways...
I thought I'd be smart and print out all the comments, slice them up, fold them up and do an old fashioned draw-the-name-from-the-basket . . . well, it took me a long time!!! But I did finally finish and the winners are:
For the bird box artwork:
Reyln of Come Sit By My Fire
Reyln of Come Sit By My Fire
The little button jar goes to:
Angie of Quilly Silly Vintage Boutique
The small altered thought book:
Heather of Richmond Street Designs
And the bookmark goes to:
Dana at The Stone Rabbit
THANKS TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO STOPPED BY AND LEFT ME COMMENTS AND GOOD WISHES!
And for an update on the sweet cardinal nest . . . we have babies!!! And they are so very precious. Isn't it amazing that the female cardinal builds the nest, incubates the eggs but calls to the male after they hatch and he is in charge of their care until they leave the nest? She is off to build a new nest for their next little family!
Happy Monday sweet friends ~ xxoo, Dawn

I tell you you, I never win anything. I mean that. I have never even won a doorprize. And now. First place!? I am slightly shocked and awed and COMPLETELY thrilled. Thank you a million times!! I'll email you next, but I had to come by here and say thank you. You have made my week, probably my month. Blessings!
Congratulations to the winners.
What sweet little babies and thank you for the interesting information on the cardinal, I didn't realize that.
Karen
A big congratulations to the winners! :-)
That Pappa Cardinal will also keep caring for the young even after they leave the nest as fledgelings. We have Cardinals nest in our yard each summer. It's so fun watching the daddy herding the babies around the yard, teaching them to scrounge for food, and the excited reaction of the babies when Daddy comes at them with something to pop into their beaks. It's better entertainment than tv! ;-)
I never knew, though, that Mamma Cardinal was off getting ready for the next brood. I used to wonder why she wasn't helping Daddy tend to the young. ;-)
Dawn!!!
Those birds are just tiny!

a big congratulations to all the winners..what lucky gals to now be able to own one of your darling creations.
oh my..the baby cardinals are so cute..I hope they thrive well.
p.s...any recent pics of "little Miss "Ellie"?
Congrats to the winners! My consolation prize is being able to view these photos of the baby birds!!! How very special! One of my very favorite things to do in life is to go on a "nature walk" and to see and photograph the wild birds. We saw a Red-shouldered Hawk the other day up close, along with swallows, mocking birds, and White-tailed Kites, and a Great Blue Heron--it was so amazing! Hugs, Jann
I used to have finches, who would lay eggs, and more eggs and even more eggs. As the cages kept growing so did the number of birds. It was fun to watch these little ones and my favorite time was when they turned punk rock, with their first feathers sticking in all directions on their tiny heads.
I so enjoy your blog Dawn. You share so many lovely things. These babies have been a real treat to see. Thank you so much.
