Ever After ~

It's pretty sad that it has taken me so long to see this precious movie, it was made in 1998! A video store was going out of business and my son called me and asked me what movies would I love to have? We have a ton already but not a lot of "chick" flicks and I remembered that I've always wanted to see this movie. I was able to watch it this weekend and just loved it!! It's a girl's movie and so very sweet. If you get a chance I think you might enjoy this one!

I have this amazing book all about children's illustrators ~ Arthur Rackham is featured and has illustrated many books, and some of his work is quite dark and scary but some is so beautiful. This is an illustration that I scanned in for you ~ isn't it just lovely?? Fairies are a favorite of mine ~

A nest I sketched recently:

It truly has taken me two weeks to feel well after that awful sinus infection. I hope to create more this week, meet a few deadlines and try to get more in my Etsy store as well. Remember to take a little time each day to do something you love ~
Wishing you a wonderful Monday!!!
Thank you for stopping by sweet friends ~ xxoo, Dawn

Dawn, I too love this movie. Isn't just the sweetest?
I love the way they speak. And I soooo love the cloths too. I once even made an angel to look like Danielle at the ball, I just loved those wings.

Have a great week.

Hi Dawn.....I have never heard of the movie Ever After but you can bet I am going to look for it this week at our local video shop. Thanks for the recommending it.
Good to hear you are getting over your sinus infection. They can be nasty.
Your little bird nest is soooooo sweet. I love bird nests and if I am lucky I will get to see one with eggs or babies while on one of my walks in the woods.
Wishing you a wonderful Monday too.

I love that movie!! I used to watch it all the time, and it is lovely. I'm glad you're feeling better, a bad sinus infection will take you out for awhile. I'm a big fan of nasal salt water rinses. I love your nest!!

I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better! The sketches are both lovely - thanks - we do so love to see what you're up to.

I love Ever After too. Have you seen Tea With Mussolini? It's a great story taking place in WW2 - such a great cast of characters and great story line of strong women. A delight to watch!

Take care and don't go into things too fast - sometimes that darn sickness can come back if you aren't careful!

Good-morning,
I am sure we could compare notes on Sinus, I hope you are doing better. I to have been ill with sinus, then it turned into this thing, chest, etc.
Your nest is so pretty. We have alot of birds on our place, we love it when they start their nesting. I put out dryer lint, and it is gone. They us it for the nest along with twiggs and such.
I love this movie too. It is one of those you can watch over and over. I have so much to do and it's spring....I have to get well.

Dawn,

I love that movie too. And all because of two simple words she utters..."Just breathe..." That's helped me lots along the way. Just breathe.

Speaking of fairies, I wonder if you've seen the artwork of Brian Froud? His fairies are my absolute favorites ever. His artwork is so broad. His fairies are sweet, childlike & then sometimes dark & mischievous. If you haven't seen his artwork, you should check some of it out. I think you would love it.

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I wish I had better pictures of my cake, etc. There were bird nests everywhere with white Jordan almonds, speckled like bird eggs, tucked inside. I thought you would appreciate that!
