I've noticed a few other girls are sharing cookie recipes and this is one I have in one of my Southern Living cookbooks that is so easy you won't believe it! They taste like little brownies to me and will disappear in a flash ~

Cake Mix Cookies
1 (18.25-ounce) package devil's food cake mix
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 (8-ounce) container of whipped topping (like Cool-Whip)
1 cup of chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar (I don't sift it :)
Combine the first three indredients, stirring well. The dough will be sticky. Sometimes I add just a touch more cool whip to remedy this. Stir in pecans if desired.
Dust hands with powdered sugar, and shape dough into 3/4" balls. Coat the balls with powdered sugar and place 2" apart on an ungreased nonstick cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until done, cool on wire racks. Yield: about 5 dozen (This depends on how many you pop in your own mouth! :)
I hope you enjoy these easy, delicious goodies!
xxoo, Dawn

Dawn, this looks so good! Our family bakes cake mix cookies, but the recipe is just for eggs and oil. I'm passing this on to the kiddos.
Thanks!
Pat
Dawn, these sound so yummy! i have a cookie recipe posted too...ya mama's anise cookies...if you don't like anise you can substitute vanilla for a puffy soft sugar cookie...very good both ways...

Hi Dawn,
It was so nice to hear from you. I miss my blog; have been so busy with our job that I just haven't had time to work on it. But, yes, I am doing more creative things, finally. We are also working our children's dvd, too, which is going really well. I have a couple of short films also that I will be selling in my Etsy store soon....with my little furniture, our treehouse and our little characters, so we're excited about that. Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season! Thank you so much for writing to me! It really cheered me up.
Debbie
Oh Dawn!!

These cookies look delicious, and easy too-just the way I like it! If you saw my recipe on Jessi's blog, you would know I'm all about simple! I noticed you live south of Atlanta...I'm a little north in Marietta...I'll have to come visit your antique shop-it looks adorable!
