This small platter (only about 9 inches wide by 6 inches tall) was just a tossed away little thing last week when I discovered it.
An odd size and lost from the set it started with many years ago, today it has started over as a little work of art! I told you I'll collage just about anything and I have! I've featured the cutest line up of birds sitting on a branch from a vintage postcard of mine, pretty papers and even a copy of a letter I received from Corey at Tongue in Cheek. You can see just a smidge of it surrounding the birds. Plus I've accented it with a real branch and wonderful old timepiece.
Pretty to sit in a stand or hang on the wall! I'll put it in my Etsy shop in the next few hours. (Remember you can click on all my photos to enlarge them to see more detail!)

SOLD! Thank you so much, Shelley ~ you're an angel!!
PLUS ~ Do you have a shredder? You know, the one that you put your old, outdated documents or junk mail through? How about putting some vintage sheet music, pages from an aged, discolored book, or other papers through it, crunch it up and you've created your own little filling for your paper bagged gifts!
I'm working on another project that you see peeking from behind the little platter ~ it's being created in the most wonderful old cigar box. Great age and patina!
I don't know if you are familiar with Debbie at The Curious Sofa but this woman practically invented thinking outside of the box when it comes to decorating! Her home is to be featured in Country Living in the January issue but she has a sneak peek on her blog right now!!
Update: I just received my Jan. Country Living magazine in the mail today and it is FABULOUS! You have such a beautiful home, Debbie!!
