Blessings & thankfulness ~

I know Thanksgiving has passed and here we are so very close to Christmas but I wanted to say how very thankful I am for the blessings I have and we have, as a family. Having five children and always wanting to be home with them and also wanting to be home to be my domestic, artistic self, our money has always been tight. I've worked full time off and on but usually at Christmas I have been able to really come through with the extra money to do everything.

Well, sales have been OK at the store but in years past we have been much, much busier. But this weekend, a couple of dear, sweet regular customers bought my little handpainted french beds for their daughters!! Thank you so much girls!
I truly believe God is watching over us and I am so thankful for this blessing . . . Christmas can be a thankful holiday as well!
xxoo, Dawn

You and Dennis have raised 5 wonderful boys and part of that is because you wanted to stay with them while they were growing up, and I don't blame you. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a lot for you and your childrens future, but both of you have done an amazing job and I am glad you now have the time and ability to be good to yourselves.

Dawn this is very much what life is about. When we need something the most, God does deliver. We never know how this will happen, but when we have faith and we believe...the good things we need come true.

Hello Dawn, how simply wonderful the way things turn out, events like this shape the way we live, and grow with the joy of it.
Have a fabulous week, and relish every moment.

Dawn
you are so right in your post. Often times when I felt we wouldn't make it - God was always looking out for us somehow. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and looking forward to reading more of your blog in 2008!

Hi Dawn,
I did a little research on the prints. They are actually by 2 different artists.
The boy is actually called "Master Simpson" by A.W. Devis, and the girl is by Jane Freeman and is called "Chums".
I guess some places give them a more "generic" name.:0)
Funny how the pictures match even though they are different artists.

Dawn,
My heart rests at home also, I am so glad you can pursue your dream. I think Christmas is the most thankful holiday there is, after all, the Christ child was the ultimate gift. I am thrilled that your needs were met and that you shared God's goodness with us. Have a blessed holiday,
Miss Sandy

I'm so happy to hear that things continue to work out, and that you continue to puruse your dreams--that's an amazing inspiration (and those beds are fantastic!)

Dawn, we are blessed that the Lord gives us the desires of our heart! He does always provide what we need, and still loves us when we are "surprised"!

Merry Christmas, dear Dawn.
I know you will have a wonderful time celebrating his birthday.
