Your blog can be what YOU want it to be ~

As you stroll through blogs, sometimes you may see a blog that you think, "I want my blog to be just like hers!" Looking a certain way, or having posts that are always uplifting and cheerful but what I wanted to say is that your blog needs to be for you and about you ~ If posting about an event in your life helps you work through it, by all means, post about it. It truly is an online journal.

My blog is what I want it to be ~ about my creative endeavors and simple things that happen in my life. Some are not so pleasant, just like my sweet Noah breaking his leg, but the support I received from my dear friends in blogland during that hard time was AMAZING!! Now, I don't share every little drama that happens to me during the day but my blog is not about that. It's about time away from the hectic day-to-day things and about being creative and especially about being inspired by other blogs and your kind words!

Your comments inspire me more than you'll ever know sweet friends!

Have a happy Monday!!
hugs and love, Dawn

Isn't that the best thing about the land of blog!! So much diversity, so many different styles of blogs to look at! It's so enjoyable to visit a variety of places and such a blessing to meet all the different people who live there!

Thanks for the sweet reminder that we aren't meant to be the same or to create the same or to write the same ~ that we're each unique in our own special ways.

Oh my yes! I have thought and said that, about being like other blogs.
I do really love your blog, and your style of everything, and certainly some of that does rub off on me. =0))
But, you are right, it will still be best if it is you!!

I agree and love all the encouragement, bonding, friendship, support and ideas to be had out there in blogger land.

Thanks to you Dawn, and to so many others who help and support and share of themselves.

You are so right Dawn, and many love your blog as I do. Common scense should tell us not all is meant to be shared but I think some sharing also makes other realize we understand things that are happening to them and makes them not feel alone. I also enjoy sharing lessons that I think I have learned in life. Blessings.

Hi Dawn.....very well put. I know I don't plan my blog, but just write about the day...sometimes that is a creative endeavor and sometimes that is just "life" and it is not always the pretty stuff! Lisa of Tattered and Tarnished speaks so highly of you.....I just wanted to stop by. xo jana

I love your advice. A blog should be as individual as the blogger that writes it. I enjoy a wide variety of blogs because they are so individual and unique to the blogger. Yours is one of my favorites!

I totally agree. It's a wonderful way to "meet" people with things in common, make friends, get inspiration, etc., but most importantly to me, it is a recording of parts of my life. My family and friends and I can look back at all of the memories!
