Our wonderful hands ~

I often look at my hands and see my mama's hands...
And lately, mine have been aching terribly!!!

I guess after you hit fifty and are still a crazy girl like me
and love using your hands every day,
it's a given.

We've had a good many soap orders lately and being the perfectionist I am,
I've worked tirelessly on making sure they are beautiful!

You have to release them from our custom mold then
gently clean the excess soap from each one with a tiny paring knife...
making sure you don't ruin the beautiful egg shape.

We've created over 200 egg soaps in the last few days and
filled many orders! I'm so very thankful...
I even squeezed in a little time to create a new
business card for General Store Soap too!

Please take a look at our soap Etsy store if you have a moment....
just to see all that we have!

We are so blessed with our two hands
we use them to help others, our precious family,
to cook, clean, caress, wash, massage, fold and
even to make beautiful things.
And I am always, always
so thankful for the use of mine ~

I hope you have a great Tuesday sweet friends!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Ah yes. My hands are starting to feel their age, too, just as this artsy-craftsy stuff gets good. I love those egg soaps, beautiful colours, beautiful packaging!

Hi Dawn, That repetitive work is so hard on our hands. Mixing things up seems to be the answer for me. If I rotary cut one day, I sew the next...Different muscles get the workout. I do see my Mom's hands when I look at mine, but funny thing, I wear my Daddy's Wedding ring. All my life I tried to take it off his finger, like sitting in Church or on the couch while watching TV. Now seeing his ring on my hand, I remember his strong hands too. Take care of your beautiful talented and gentle loving hands my friend. They should be insured by Lloyd's of London! Love, Penny

I can certainly imagine your hands a feeling not just your age but the work they've been doing. I've developed osteoarthritis in the joints at the base of my thumbs... what a "pain" that can be!!!!! Don't know who's hands I've got, but I can certainly see my paternal grandmother's rather thick arms!!!!! Don't seem to have inherited anything of my "thinner" relatives!!! Take care, and give those hard working hands a rest.

Hey Miz Dawn,
I can relate to the pain, I do everyday. Some days I feel I am just wearing out all around. The soap business card is as perfect as the soap, well done and much good luck in your store!
Love
Marcie
PS. we had a very nice time with Deb and Jim recently.

Dear Dawn,
Your packaging is to swoon for! I love your precious egg soaps.
As for my hands! I have a couple of fingers that are twisting and thickening like my maternal Grandma's. I found that giving up gluten took that pain away. Most of my joints no longer hurt as long as I keep them moving! I still get a twinge or two on a very humid day. My diet isn't perfect, but giving up gluten was the key for me!
Hugs,
Sherry
