I managed to park myself in my studio and make a little something new!!!
I've had this beautiful box for years and finally creating something inside ~
my newest nature assemblage!
I just love using nests in my artwork...speckled eggs...
and gathering as many other natural elements to
add to the assemblages.
Here it is!! Fresh from the studio:
I found the most amazing birch bark printed paper and used it
to line the interior of the box...
I choose each and every element carefully and play with the placement until I'm happy.
Each feather is placed strategically in the nest
to enhance the clutch of speckled eggs ~
You can find this piece in my Etsy shop if you'd like to take a peek!!
Thank you so much for stopping by to see me and
always for your sweet comments!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Beautiful piece, Dawn! You always put the prettiest things together. I hope you come by, I finally did something with my little clock after being inspired by you to "just do something" with it already. : )

It looks like you took a hike on a beautiful trail and picked up things a long the way and put these treasures into a secret beautiful box to enjoy again and again. Love all the natural elements...your signature.
Your nature themed boxes are always just beautiful.
Oh this is so so beautiful Dawn - I just love those butterflies behind!
Gorgeous all round.
Sending hugs and love,
Suzy
Dawn, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! I was curious to see what the price was....and nearly fell off my chair! I would have expected $180.00!!!!
I'm curious where you get the bird nests. I retrieved one that fell from a tree, and it isn't that pretty! I'm going to use it tho....after MICROWAVING it for 5 minutes to kill any creepy-crawlies!
Dawn,
That turned out amazing! Love it!!

Absolutely love your blog and your esthetic. I, too, love the antiques as I am getting close to being one myself. You do such creative things with bits and pieces and display them beautifully. Thank you for sharing with all of us 'Junkies'!
