Well...I've been blogging now for almost 7 years now.
WOW!
That's such a long time!!!
Over the years I've realized that each person's blog is different.
Every blog has it's own message to convey.
I determined early on, that my little blog would be
uplifting and encouraging.
Yes, I could lay it all out on the table...
telling you the gritty truth that goes on around here
on a day-to-day basis.
But I've chosen not to.
You all have your own gritty, right??
Why in the world would you want to know mine?
I keep that loveliness to myself.
What I'd rather do is share what I'm creating...
even HOW I'm creating it.
And encourage you to carve out a little time from the gritty
to do just that,
be creative.

Hi Dawn! You have always encouraged me to be creative and to be happy in my own small corner of the world. When I started my own blog I took my lead from you and always try to be upbeat because I feel that if we want to hear about gritty and negative, we can get that from reality TV. And sometimes I get discouraged because I look at blogs that are so beautiful and creative, but then I remind myself that those bloggers are heavily sponsored and have therefore likely made blogging their full-time job. I think that there is a sector of the population out there that appreciates simple and positive viewpoints, with a dose of creativity and and honest to goodness positive everyday living! Yours is one of the few like it that I read as I so enjoy the kind of blog...I call them eclectic blogs...where the reader gets a little bit of everything. (I really think you do that quite well yourself leaving out the nitty-gritty, of course.) That choice makes you an inspiration, and often redeems at least part of my gritty, because when I visit I get a big wave of "it's good to be alive and even better if you're creating" - and I sometimes need that reminder.
Your blog is BEAUTIFUL!, it never ceases to amaze me how truly beautiful you can make just about... anything!, and your messages are encouraging and loving.
