Jack of all trades...master of none ~

Yeah. That's how I feel sometimes but it's OK with me.
Some folks know their niche...
some prefer not to.
That'd be me.

I guess the variety of trying new things or
just different things is too tempting.
I admire those artists that have that one big thing
they are most excellent at!

But it's fun learning new techniques or
knowing that I can make something if I try hard enough.
It can make me procrastinate as well though.
The new things.
Because I don't want to fail.
That'd be the perfectionist in me.
Do you do that?
When you want to try something new you simply put it off
just because you don't want to do it wrong or
mess up your supplies?
We humans are a funny lot.

I thought I'd share the flyer with you that I created for Linda
for her to give away to her customers...

(the phone number really is on the flyer,
I just thought she might not appreciate me
advertising it all over the web :)

It was kinda fun dusting off my brain and
working on a little graphic design!!

The moral of this post?
Don't be afraid to try something new or
even something you've not done in a very long time.
Simply dive in and try!!!!

Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

John's father used to say, "Ain't that just the way? You finally get everything down pat so you can make some money and then you run out of work." In your case, you'd say "you run out of interest or passion." At least, you are never bored!

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I admire those who can concentrate on one passion and push themselves to constantly move forward with that one thing but that is not how I am programmed. I have to try it all. I love trying it all and always learning new techniques.

Loved this post. I'm one for trying lots of new things, too. Your flyer is so well done, I'm sure there will be further requests along this line.

Well done Dawn. The flyer turned out beautiful. Yes.. I do procrastinate..you got me excited about using bee's wax. I guess so did a lot of others as NO one had the melter for a good long time. I finally got one..and it's still in the box. I WILL try it..one day..when I finally say what the heck go for it. Ha.

You are one of the most beautiful women I know. Your heart is so open and wide to all and you have a God given talent to take something old and make it beautiful and useful once more. I love your work. I love you, Nancy PS ~ Going to MS for Leslie's baby shower and celebrate (finally, after the flu bug!) Christmas with all three girls and their families. We're beyond excited!

Omgosh! Yes, I know exactly how you feel about wanting to try new things and yet, hesitating because of the fear of not being! I'm a big procrastinator with things like that. It can get very frustrating at times! Sending good wishes your way! Have a great weekend! Kelly xoxo

I'd be hard-pressed to find paper that's prettier than that which you designed for Linda! So many layers in the perfectly faded collage... eek! It's truly lovely, dear Dawn.♥ xoxo
