I don't usually splurge on magazines much anymore...
but when I heard that a few sweet friends were being featured inside
the recent issue of Where Women Create
I just HAD to buy it!!!
I thought I'd give you a little peek inside just in case
you might want to get one yourself?
My sweet friend Rowann....and her gorgeous shop
and her beautiful studio were featured.
I recently blogged about my visit to her store and also my visit to her
beautiful home above the store...it. was. BREATHTAKING!!!!
Rowann is so incredibly talented and such a precious, humble soul ~
Another dear friend is Melinda of Surroundings by Melinda ~
this girl has such wonderful taste to me..and is a sweet angel too!!!
Give her blog a visit if you can ~
I think she's even featured in February's issue of Romantic Homes!!
More goodness....
I just wanted to share a little to see if you'd think you'd be interested.
It's a beautiful issue to me ~
And while I was at Hob Lob...I found a remnant of this beautiful fabric!!!
What to do, what to do with it......I'm thinkin' ~
OH! And this is why I went! To get a few pkgs of this stuff:
And here's the last installment of the printed lavender sachets for awhile.....
it's time to make something new!!!
If you'd like one,

I hope you have a great Wednesday dear friends....
hugs and love,
Dawn

I saw that magazine at Hobby Lobby but had already spent too much! Next time, I will have to pick it up! Looks gorgeous! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
Wow, I was so surprised to see in the pictures of Melinda's shop the cabinet marked Beldings Silk! I live in Belding where that silk was made. I have a tin full of silk thread. It is so cool to me to see something from that era of our little town. Of course the silk mills are long gone and sadly we will be losing one of the last silk mill buildings this coming year. The building is known as the clock tower and is seen by all in our little town. We sit on our porch and it is in clear view. It is owned by Electrolux and our town lost the fight in court to keep it as a symbol of what once was. It will be a sad day when the wrecking ball arrives! It is so cool to see that cabinet and find it is in Florida of all places! Amazing how far treasures travel! What a lovely piece of history it would have been to have that cabinet for our museum! Thanks for sharing!
Oh I can see right away why you recommend those blogs! You're all peas in a pod. Great fabric! I love it.
Love that fabric remnant you found, Dawn! That would make for some pretty sachets, too. Even a pretty backing for a pillow to make it double-sided {that's what I do}.
Thank you for sharing...looks like a wonderful issue.....can't wait until they feature you in their magazine...I'll be saving my money to buy that issue for sure. :) You are so worthy of it! Blessings sweet friend
Thanks SO MUCH for sharing Dawn. We have received so many wonderful comments. Shelley is right , Where Women Create needs to feature you. It always gets my creativity going when you feature your Creative Nest on your blog ! Makes me want to get organized , so I can see all my stuff and get BUSY Creating. Many Blessings....
Thank you Dawn! I love your blog, your creativity and...well...you! You are a blessing to so many, myself included. Thank you for sharing and for sending people to my little blog. Keep being YOU. Oh sweet Dawn, you make me smile :) I wish others took the time to write comments as they used to. Seems we have more stalkers than writers now :) I know I don't leave near the comments I used to and I need to get back to it, for we all love knowing someone took the time to care~
Here's another shout out :) a small one but still one of my favorite sites to come to. Have a blessed week and many hugs to you, too! love, Nancy
