Where Bloggers Create 2011!!!

Can you believe it's that time of year again??!!!
Thank you so very much Karen of My Desert Cottage
for hosting this amazing blog party ~

I love seeing everyone's creative space and so glad we have
all weekend to tip-toe through them all!

My family has moved since the party last year
and my creative space has dramatically decreased!
So it may look a little crowded in my photos...
because it is!!
I don't mind though ~ we moved to a very old home
and it has so much charm ~

I love looking around the studio and seeing other's artwork,
treasured finds and beautiful things ~
it's all so inspiring to me!!

Old trinkets, long forgotten seem to always find a home here :)

Old lace, the rattier the better, makes me smile.

Do you think I have enough fabric? This is just the creams, naturals and browns!

This shot is pretty rough looking ~
I haven't hung the bird canvas I made or the shelves
behind the sewing machine, but I will.
And all the stuff on those small wire shelves will hurt your eyes
but I love having supplies at arm's reach.

I've even managed to cram my computer in here!

My desk ~

You have to walk through my studio
to get to the living room or our bedroom,
you know how old houses are!!

OH! And you see my advent calender hanging on the side of the shelves below?
Lisa told me that Stampington has featured it again
in the recent issue of Handcrafted ~ I had no clue!

I hope you enjoyed peeking into my studio ~
As crowded as it may be, I'm so thankful for it!!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see me ~
Please be sure to head back to the Where Bloggers Create 2011 Blog
to see more creative spaces!

hugs and love,
Dawn

Hi, Dawn! So many beautiful treasures and creations. I think you had those curtains in your last studio? Love them. The bird canvas is fabulous too. Your studio looks so inviting. Wish I could come over and play!

Your studio seems like a very comforting place to be, Dawn! I love that large bird print you have. I am glad to see that there is someone who has more fabric than me! : ) I love the colors you used in both your creative spaces {the old one, too}.

I love your creation space!!!
Ive been working on my new one this week.
But even when it is finished, it will still be a work in progress.
I need more stuff!! ;)
My room looks so bare!!!
I had it combined with my computer room and because of that, I thought I thought I had do much.
But now that is all alone, the poor little space looks bare.
Oh well, gives me room to buy more! Lol.
I hope to be able to show it off soon.
I would love one day for it to be as beautiful as yours, Dawn.
I doubt mine ever will be, but one can dream! Hehee.
Thanks for the inspiration,
Tam

Hello Dawn :) Wonderful place to create in! And fabulous stash of fabrics and gorgeous lace trims to create with ~ I too have some special pretties and treasures that decorate my space...gotta surround yourself with more than just the usual creating items and such. I had thought to put our computer in my room as well, but decided to have it in our Dining Room, that way I have my sewing room ALL to myself, LOL :) Thanks for sharing you wonderful space with us...lots of wonderful ideas for everyone to incorporate into their own!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

Yes, milady, I did enjoy seeing your workspace. Even though it's smaller than your former one and even though there are many treasures, it looks beautifully organized to me. I'm going back to look through it all again.

I love your creative space, everywhere you look there are projects just waiting to be dreamed up. I too have limited space and every inch has to be used for something. And to top that off, we are moving and my space will be out of boxes for awhile. Enjoyed your pics. Terri :)

Oh sweetie,
From the first picture to the last I am ohhhing & ahhhing! It's funny, I haven't been in your studio but I feel like I have. I can see the precious baby outfit Dennis bought you, the nests the boys gathered, the little brown shoes that became pincushions, the cream parasol we've discussed... it's all so familiar. It's wonderful, every last piece of lace & every last button. Lisa

Girl, I envy you so much for your own craftsroom. I live in a very small house (that I lovingly call home) and have no room for my own craftsroom.
And yours is so full of treasures. I wish I could have a look. I think it would take me hours to come out again. If I would...........
I would be the kid in the candystore.
Don't worry, I live in the Netherlands, you can breath again ;-).
I can't stop looking at the photos. Your curtains...............how did you get/make those? Super!
thanks for this post.

Wonderfully done, Dawn! Since I've followed your blog for a long time I know that you used to have the big converted garage as your studio. So to downsize your area had to be a major accomplishment...and you did it beautifully. My heart is always warmed the way you see the world through a grateful heart. That little jacket/hat/dress ensemble makes me weak in my knees! Precious. Xo, Sue
