Please indulge me precious friends....

So what did I do today?
Hmmm. Let me think......
Mostly, I cooked a wonderful meal for my family,
(thank you sweet David for grilling the steaks!)
and enjoyed a precious guest as well ~

Who was that you ask?
Our sweet granddaughter Clara came to visit
as her mother's grandfather is in the hospital and
wanted to pay him a visit with our son, Brent.

Well, the lighting was beautiful so I pulled out the camera,
snapped a few pics and
you know I have to share them with you!!!
And of course I'll give you a bit of narrative as well.....
Here's our angel watching her very favorite tv show....
but doesn't mind looking at the camera one little bit and hamming it up!
And yes, those are vanilla wafers between her legs.

Now she's really getting into the show...vanilla wafers still there ~

Well, our little Ellie SO knows those vanilla wafers are just going to waste!
Look at this angel offering her one ~

But then, she's mesmerized by the show again....oh dear!!!!
Ellie is on BIG TIME alert too!

FINALLY. Ellie gets what she's wanting and Clara loves sharing with her...

Clara hadn't had a nap all day long and is visibly tired ~
I made her a little pallet in the floor so she can watch her fav show and
maybe catch a few zzzz's ~

Well, you can see what she thinks about that! HA HA Mimi....the joke's on you!

I think I'll dance instead and twirl my dress!!!!

Then we step out onto the front porch of the old farmhouse to watch the trains ~
We have two wonderful old rockers. She takes one and I take the other.
Rocking and rocking we go!
After awhile, I tell her it's time to go inside, it's kinda hot out here....
she says, I think I'll lay down Mimi ~
on the porch!!!

I saw how beautiful she was and told her to stay there, I just HAD to take a picture!!!!
And guess what, she froze (the little ham)!
Just look at the gorgeous photos I took ~

I love you THIS MUCH sweet Clara ~

wishing you a great Thursday dear friends,
thank you for indulging me with this grandbaby post!!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Clara...precious, precious life. These are beautiful pictures, true treasures of a treasured child. I'm almost 64 years old,
but I remember clearly saying to my Papa,
"Papa, watch me twirl!" I must have been
just a little older than Clara in this picture.
Thank you for sharing these and for
bringing me a wonderful memory.

I haven't been here in awhile, but I remember when Clara was born. And now she's a little girl - and so sweet. I love her twirling for you and the camera. We have our own little granddaughter now, just 7 months old and I'm looking forward to all the milestones in her life, too.

Dawn, what a precious little grand! I am going to visit three of mine tomorrow and saw the older two on Wednesday! They make life worth getting up in the morning for!

How lovely! I'd love to photograph her- what a cutie pie! You go, proud Grandma! So sweet to see you making some memories with her. My mom shares the same living space as her grandbabies, but doesn't have any time for them. :( My kids are really good natured about it, though, and make up for any deficiencies by spending time with HER mom (their GREAT Grandmother)! :) Enjoy, enjoy! They grow up so fast! :)

i am so glad you have your grandbaby is close to you. we are so blessed if we are able to see them often. had my seven year old grandsons yesterday all day and we had fun too. they call our sister jack russells their doggies too. of course they proudly say their jack n russells live at pa pa's. i have been blessed to help take care of them since they came home from the hospital. the time has flown by so quickly so enjoy each chance you get and i know you will. GOD BLESS. HUGS but at 63 now and with fibro i have to say i don't always say yes to the question can i stay all night gramma anymore, did not think i would ever do that....putting your needs first is soooooo hard for me. is it for you?
