I think I finally like it!

Thank you all so much for your nest building tips!!
I ended up adding a lot of things...
from moss to feathers, a few sticks and leaf fragments,
a purchased nest is tucked in the very center
and then one speckled egg.
I wanted it to have a natural look and feel ~

And you know what's funny?
I don't really like the color of the Rit dyed moss
now that it's dried...
but the coffee dyed moss looks wonderful
with the brown tones of the nest ~
and the smell?
I could hardly smell the coffee fragrance
after the moss had completely dried.

And here is my lovely desk after making only ONE...
I'll try to come up with something new to post about ~
I know you must be sick of hearing about these little things!

Here's a very small side table in my studio...
do you think I have enough stuff on it?!

I love these bronze hands!!

A few things I've found to share with you ~

Nita Jo of Little Grey Gardens posted the most precious poem HERE...
be sure to get your kleenex girls ~ it's beautiful.

Thank you always for stopping by to see me!!
I hope you have a wonderful Thursday precious friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Hey Sweetie. I have been so bad about finding time to visit lately. I'm going to have to come back and look at all you recent post. This birds nest basket is gorgeous but I have to be honest Dawn...I'm never surprised by you. That's a compliment by the way, all your work is amazing and breath-taking!!! I love the shoe in the cloche, it's so precious.

I just scheduled a post about a very not so pretty giveaway but one I know you could use. I hope you'll stop by tomorrow and enter.

Hugs and love, Tracy :)

Hi, Dawn! I love the nest in the pot. How did you get the paper onto the pot. That is a clay pot, right? What glue worked? I love putting nests in things, too, and was thinking of something like this with moss I collected from a river out here. I love the paper on the pot.

I love the baby shoe in the cloche!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it Clara's.

God bless,
Elizabeth

It's always fun to watch the process. Glad to know that the coffee was just the thing in the end. (I'd not mind a little birdy barista!) Off to read the poem with my tissue in hand. Oh, btw, your project is wonderful!
