A nubby, rugged branch speaks to me ~

It's really amazing, isn't it?
I see a simple branch and fall in love with the texture!!

It has a very rugged appearance, gnarled and nubby....
much like ourselves....
but add the Fruit of the Spirit
and it becomes a work of art!!

I love taking something simple and transforming it into something special ~

A branch sewn onto an 7.5 x 14 canvas....
to help remind us what is truly important ~

SOLD....thank you so much sweet Lisa!!!!

Wishing you a great Thursday sweet friends!!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn, your "Fruit of the Spirit" collage is just perfection! It is such a beautiful work of art, as all your creations are...you are so prolific in your ideas! I can see it encased in a protective shadowbox hanging in an art gallery in NYC!

This is so beautiful, Dawn! You've taken a bare, cold branch and made it into something that says "warmth and hope" just by tucking inspiration words on tags onto it!

Dawn- Not that matters but just in case someone is interested that limb is from the Sweet Gum tree and when it looks like that they call it "winged". Isn't it ironic that you can make something so beautiful from a tree that has those nasty sticker ball? Just goes to show there is a little good in everything. Take Care-- Joy

Hi Dawn.

Simply beautiful. I once created a piece for my sister on canvas and I actually created a frame using some scrap pieces of cedar my neighbor cut and left by the curb.

Dawn,
It takes me breath away! Your gift is taking little bits of nature, things most people step on walking around everyday, & elevating it to a thing of beauty. Lisa

It is GORGEOUS! I love it! (And it is also shamefully a relief to know I'm not the only Catholic girl spelling corrector" out there! (Just for the record though, I hadn't noticed)!

I love rugged branches! I love your art piece too! I have a huge branch of curly willow in my guest room. I bought it for a Christmas project, but never got around to it. I'm thinking up some other ideas now! Thanks for sharing this pretty piece!
