Be inspired ~

I had to show you a few things I've been drooling over from Pottery Barn!!

Now don't think I'm ordering all of these items (although I wouldn't mind :),
as my budget doesn't allow it, but you can be inspired by the IDEAS....

Try to create your own versions,
or look for similar items when you're out junkin'.
Check hardware stores for galvanized stuff....
and look at the chandelier ~ even if it doesn't light,
I would love to make something like this to hang from the studio ceiling!!!!
I'm a little obsessed with the ceiling in there.....

Feed stores are famous for having great galvanized selections...
I found Marshall Grain Co. online...

Just a few goodies to get ya thinkin'...
Hugs and love sweet friends,
Dawn

I'm so pleased that PBarn is going for a more vintage feel! And you have great ideas for replicating it on a budget, thier prices tend to be way up there.

Hey Dawn...Love the Pottery Barn...I'm thinking you could replicate that darling shade easily!
I enjoy all their things too.
Happy creating,

Love the birdcage! And the chandelier and the rustic wall organiser, but those can both be replicated fairly easily I bet.

They've got some nice things...terribly simple to duplicate if one likes the look. So many wonderful places out there to glean from and build from. Perhaps we'll see what you'll do with it!

Hi Dawn... you must be in the same mode as myself... That pages magazine may be somewhat easy to create.... Especially if it was done with a very small watt bulb.... and a used fixture... Humm......

Hi Dawn
I used to love Pottery Barn when they first opened and then they got away from the vintage feel and went with a sleek look and I lost interest but the pages you are showing are really nice. The chandelier is great! Another thought for your ceiling obsession is hanging a hoop slip (you might have one in your stash) I put one up in my home studio and put old French postcards and old pictures on the different wire hoops...I loved the creamy white and old paper together.
Hope your Christmas was wonderful and wishing you a blessed new year.

I LOVE the stuff there too but, OUCH the prices kill the pocket book. And this is indeed the time of year I want to RE-DO everything. Have a great week! Hugs! Brrrrrr it's cold here today. So glad I'm not working at the airport like I did the last 2 days. Stay warm there too.

Oooooh! Wouldn't it be fun to be a millionaire for at least a day? After giving a good chunk money to charity, as I've always wanted to be able to do, then I'd have a field day with this! Thanks for the fun and (drool inducing) post!

Hey Dawn. You have such an eye. I always know I'm going to see something pretty and unique, whether you've made it or not. I really like that bulletin board too.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. I'll probably write you back later. I've had you on my mind a lot.

Warm hugs cause I know if I'm freezing in Florida you've got to be bundled up....Tracy :)

I was just looking at that chandelier and thinking how cool it was but how I can't afford it even on sale....but maybe I could make something similar? hmmm....need to put my thinking cap on. And the lampshade is pretty up close too...saw it the other day! There were some pretty wire birds nests in the store too...not too expensive. Counting my pennies! :)

You have just the coolest shops in the US! What great inspirations! Did you see the nest pendant chandelier? I love that birdhouse and I also love the wire village at Ballard Design.

Did you read my mind?? ;) I was just looking at the new catalog this week and was enamored with the Bird dishware and Nest plate chargers! The Bird tumblers and Table Runners are also gorgeous, and look like ephemera.
