I always return to things I love.
I just can't help it....
I was talking to Lisa the other day and she told me
that she wanted to do a Rose Hicks post....
we couldn't stop talking about the amazing style she has!!
And of course, all of her daughters are blessed with
a design style that is unmatched, just like their mom.
Lisa has featured Rose's home on her latest post....
and I found a few pages that feature her daughters style ~
These wonderful pages have been in my inspiration stash for many years...
and they are all just as gorgeous now as the day they were published.

...so gorgeous!
These amazing women listen to their heart and design with what they love.
With all of this wonderful talent, wouldn't it be so neat
if they had a book of their own??!!
A girl can dream can't she??
I hope you have a wonderful Thursday dear friends....
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn,
Oh yeah baby, a book! I would be down at the publisher's everyday waiting for the release. I actually had a few Texas girls comment on my post yesterday that they didn't know the Boltons' ???? How can it be, we must school them. Maybe we should ghost write the Bolton book, but we need to bring June in it! LOL Lisa
Carol Bolton has been my inspiration for many years... The sepia and cream colors are gorgeous! I love the fact that it's timeless..the look today is just as great as it was ten years ago..you can just keep building on it..Have a wonderful day Dawn~xo

Wow! Janet's home is amazing. I love the entry way with the display of feathers and prints above the beautiful bench. Just lovely. What will you be doing with all the watch gears? Steampunk art? I look forward to seeing your next wonderful creation.

Thank you for introducing me to these decorators. I could be right at home in any of these spaces. Off to follow some links...
Thank you so much Dawn for getting the word out!
People!!!
You simply MUST know the Boltons!
They have influenced your style more than you know. More, I dare say, than even Rachel Ashwell,I'd wager.
Let's start a petition to get them featured in a national mag again. It's past time. :-)
Hugs,
Anne
Hi Dawn
I have all of those in my folder for inspiration! Carol's style is unsurpassed, I was sorry when she closed down her shops. Only one left and it isn't near what it was.

Oh I love this post! I miss the days when they used to be featured on HGTV. Remember when they showed Rose Hicks in her little Fredricksburg cottage? I think it was on Country Style.
They are very talented women and so gracious.
Her use of Sepias, creams, tans and the textures of laces, crochet, and I can see tea stained gauzes and burlap would fit in with all this. Also some handmade sepia and cream roses, with tarnished silver. I love the opened displayed books! Feathers on the wall yummy! Right up our alley, dear Dawn.....
