Autumn is finally here and my heart is happy!

Fall has always, always is my very favorite time of the year.
I have so many precious memories from this sweet season.
Starting college, meeting precious life-long friends, dating my husband....
I always have loved the cooler weather too, Georgia summers can be brutal and so humid!

Right now it's raining cats and dogs outside and will probably make many
leaves fall that I still want to see turn.
It's okay though.
Rain is a precious gift and I'm thankful!

This has been a very rough year for all of us.
I've missed my family so terribly.
And then staying home...day after day...can mess with your head!
I've always been a homebody but at least I had a choice to go out.
We are simply trying to be wise in our household as we are all
physically compromised here.

I'm not sure what our holidays will hold at this point
but I do know this.
I love my precious family dearly.
Even if we have our celebrations separately,
we all love one another so much!
This too shall pass.

I'm having a small sale in my Etsy store if you're feeling creative!
It's mostly tutorials that you all know I sell plus
a few handmade items as well.

Here are a few of my artist pieces! You know how I loved dried elements!

I'm sorry for the sparseness of my posts.
Seems my heart just hasn't been in it.
With a studio full of supplies even.
Praying for better times for us all!!!!

Thank you all for continuing to visit my ol' blog.

Hugs and love!!!

A few artful goodies have been added to my shop!

Well, here it is, almost the end of August!
How did THAT happen?
I'm thankful though. This has been a rough year for all of us.
I've had a hard time, as I'm sure many of you have as well
dealing with all the stuff that's going on.
I'm just praying for each day to get better and better.

On a positive note,
I've actually been making a few things!

I know I shared my needle felted bunny in my last post but
my son gave me this adorable metal nest!
I filled it with straw and made him a cozy spot
to hang out in the studio.
I love it!!!

My dried flowers and nature finds have been calling my name.
So...I decided to create a new nest assemblage! Fancy that!
I used some amazing antique ledger paper that I believe is from 1865
to line this wonderful old box.

The nest was found in my front door wreath and was
the perfect centerpiece for the artwork!
Mossy sticks and gathered nature pieces were added to complete it.
I also embellished the nest with feathers and speckled eggs.
All of the items have been securely glued in so they can't shift too!

This assemblage is currently in my Etsy store, just click below to visit sweet friends ~

Also, I found these wonderful glass tubes that I'm filling with gorgeous dried botanicals!
They are different sizes and so much fun to make.
I love going through my drieds deciding which pieces to add to each tube.
I plan on making more but a few are listed in my Etsy store if you like to take a look!

Some of these pieces have sold but there are still a few in my store!!

Thank you always, always for stopping by dear friends.
Praying that you are doing wonderfully and are well!

Hugs and love,
Dawn

Getting by in this crazy world ~

It's been forever ago that I posted.
I'm so very sorry but this year so far hasn't been my fav.

Well, I just haven't had much to say.
I've been frozen.
I was able to create a LOT of masks for friends and loved ones
and mailed them to them.
My son and MIL helped me pay all of the postage.
ANYWAY....
I don't really want to go into that but praying
one little mask helped.

My sweet sewing girl!!

The beautiful spring sky
Seems no matter what us humans are battling, nature presses on.
I'm so thankful for that!

I finally decided to try my hand at needle felting!
I purchased a pattern and already had all of the supplies.
It is a sleeping bunny and I love that the pattern shared
the scale of the pieces needed so the bunny pieces aren't all out of proportion.
I purchased the pattern from The Wishing Shed on Etsy and loved her instructions!

My finished bunny!!!

Well, I'll end this post here
because I'm trying to learn the new Blogger posting format
and have so failed!!!

Love you all,
Please stay healthy angels...

Hugs and love,
Dawn
