Don't hate me, but I have NEVER been a fan of summer.
Even when I was skinny (which was for about five minutes)
I couldn't take the summer heat!!!
The highs have been in the triple digits here in Georgia so....
even though I never want to wish my life away,
I can always look forward to my favorite season of the year!
FALL!!!!
So I looked back and thought I'd share
a past fall post....
Maybe to cool you down (in your mind?)
So read the following as though we are cooling down
and approaching autumn....
I'm ready for crisp, cool weather...
the smell of campfires in the air and
the bright, blue sky that is so
beautiful on a fall day ~
A few images for you to welcome fall....
We're still moving things over to the new house ~
trying to decide where to place everything.
My studio is going to be downsized by about half :(
But the good thing is I can distribute the items that won't fit
around the house to be used for other purposes.
Plus the overflow of my studio will be in the
guest room, thank goodness!!
I posted this almost two years ago!! And I will always, always love fall.....
Have a wonderful weekend precious friends ~ please stay cool....
hugs and love,
Dawn

I've never liked summer. I love winter even though I'm currently in 5 layers and about to put more on. I just cannot stand being hot or even close to sweating. I'm in Australia if you're wondering why I'm so cold atm.
Dawn, you are up in the wee hours aren't you??? I just finished cleaning, organzing my craft desk and area. Now that I have everything put away, who knows if I'll be able to find things again!
Ha. I love the fall here in the northwest. The skies are soooo blue, the air temps just perfect,
warm days, cool nights. Can't complain about summer here though. We are lucky to live where there are rarely mosquitos, nor do we get black flies (as we did in N.H.
and they could bite). It's one of the best places to live... shh..
only going to say it's in the mtns.
I can sympathize with your summer heat issues. We have had to use the a.c. a few times... unusual for June. Hang in there.
I wouldn't enjoy summer at all anywhere south of me. I can barely tolerate it here where we don't get days on end of those triple digits. This year, however, I would like to experience summer. It simply hasn't arrived yet.
I'm with you there! I am always waiting for summer to be over so thank you for the lovely fall pictures (my favorite time of the year).
Dawn - you are so funny! I love the autumn, but since we only have a few weeks of actual 'summer' weather here in SW Montana - I will have to say I love it - 3-digit temps and all! Jamie V
WISHFUL thinking my sweet friend. It is so flippin hot here it stinks!! But, at least it's better than last year. And no fires this year!!! They've all gone to Colorado. Have a great weekend.
HUGS! Charlene
Dawn- I like the lushness of summer but I can't take the heat-or worse, the humidity. I try to be outside in the coolest part of the day and inside late day. I love your Fall pictures- it is my own favorite season! xo Diana
I just got back from the beach, it is WAY hotter at home than it was there! I wouldn't mind a cool breeze:) Thanks for the Fall post! Have a blessed weekend, HUGS!
FAll is my absolute favorite time of year too! And I agree, I know so many people love summer, but I'm not one of them.
Thanks for all the pics!
Jill
You made me nervous I thought you were moving again:) No I'm with you I'm not a fan of Summer either.
stay cool,
Carole
I am no lover of the summer heart either. If the temp. never went above 75 degrees, I would be as happy as a clam!
Loved your "cool" Fall post!
Hugs,
Debbie
Hi Dawn, I hear ya sister, I can't tolerate this heat and humidity. Autumn is my favorite also. Have a great day!
Dawn, Chill! I hate for it to be humid and 90+ is just too much for me, but luckily it is interspersed with low humidity days filled with breezes, so at least the mornings and evenings are pleasant. I love to see everything in bloom. My tomatoes are just starting to show and the herbs are ready to flavor every meal. My little kayak is hoping I will find time for a peaceful paddle on a local lake. The hummingbirds are practicing territorial law at the feeder. Can't say as I hate summer...But I enjoyed your fall pictures just the same!
Hugs,
Sherry
You funny gal. I love all the seasons, but I tend to be flattered by autumn's beauty as well. As Marda above, I too live in the Mts. of the NW and love it! We haven't had summer yet. Rain last night - watered my yard for me:) Just think of the watermelon and iced-tea - mmm wouldn't you miss it with no summer? Hang in there, Sept is right around the corner.
tootles,
Hi Dawn -
I have a question for you....totally off the subject of this post ;)
In your printing on fabric tutorial....I assume you use an ink jet printer? And once you have created your image on the fabric ( I would like to create a pillow for a gift) would the image remain if you washed the fabric?
Thanks
Toni

Happy Sunday Dawn-- we all love fall don't we!! I'm thinking about it too ----( but for different reasons) ! It's hard to believe you've been in your "new" place this long now!!
Hope you are trying to stay cool- we are sweltering here in KY!!
Vicki
I am completely with you Dawn.... give me fall, or at the very least take away this wretched hot weather!!
Love Fall....but so not ready yet. We have not even had any summer!!
sweet blessings friend.

Just what I needed to see after the crazy hot weather we've been having here in Maryland. I am also not a fan of summer...these fall photos made my heart happy today. Thanks Dawn!
Thanks you for those COOL pictures. I do not do well in heat either. I LOVE FALL! Where I live in this part of AZ, we do not have much of a Fall season, although the winters are absolutely the BEST! But hey, the glade cinnamon apple candle fragrance is only a match away!
I'm trying to catch up on posts. This one cheered me today. It's been record highs here in Idaho... 108 on Monday! I am sooo ready for autumn, my favorite time of year. The pictures helped me go there, at least in my imagination!
