Just when you think you've got it tough
you find out something like this
and it puts everything into perspective!!
Our oldest son, Brent, went to Savannah College of Art and Design
and he has learned this week that one of his dear classmates,
Julie Underwood is very ill and in need of expensive medical care.
I don't normally post things like this but
feel the need to share Julie's story with you.
Julie is an amazing young woman
who brings light and love to everyone she meets.
Facing a scary brain tumor, expensive
treatment and limited options,
her friends and family are on a mission
to raise funds
to support her on her road to healing.
We are spreading the word to help raise money
We are spreading the word to help raise money
for this sweet young girl.
to read more about Julie, her story and offer her any help you can.
If each of us give even a small amount....
it will add up so quickly for Julie!!!
I truly believe that any good we can do for others
in their time of need
will be returned to us and multiplied.
Give, and it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Luke 6:38
Thank you so much precious friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Dawn,
Thank you for letting us know Julie is in need. I just kept imagining "What if it was my Eve or my Kate?" Puts things completely into perspective...especially on Mother's Day weekend.
As you stated, if ALL of u s just gave a little, what a difference it could make to this beautiful and wonderful young lady.
I would certainly hope the kindness of the world would help them when we needed it, too.
I helped a little, and I am praying for Julie big time.
God bless!
You reach a lot of people with your popular blog, Dawn. I'm glad you posted this!
I will visit, I will pray:) Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing this with me! HUGS!
Headed over. Thank you for doing this- we never know when we, ourselves, will be in need of help. Blessings- xo Diana
ps. I forgot to add- My hubby had brain surgery many years ago and it took him a full year to recover. There were some side effects but we ae grateful to those that were there for us during that time. It is not even the financial burden as much as how SCARY it is to have something in the brain....that part of us that makes us who we are. Bless YOU for posting this~ xo Diana
I am heading over there now. You are right all it takes is a little from a lot.
pay it forward i say.... thanks for spreading the word so those of us that can help are able to do so..hoping this innovative new treatment proves helpful in her fight to overcome the cancer.
Thank you for sharing... heading over now~ xox
