On making stuff....

I've found myself in a bit of a slump this week.
No drive, no creativity, no nothin'....what is that???
I need someone to get over here and kick me in the rump.

I'm beginning to see a cycle in myself ~ this seems to happen every month...
maybe it's just in my makeup to have this cycle of ebb and flow.
And maybe we're all like that, you know?
We can't be full tilt with creativity flowing all the time, right?

I do have a few special orders that I'm working on,
but I had such grand ideas of what I would get accomplished this week!

Oh well, ANYWAY...
There are a few more spaces left for our Paper Cowgirl classes in March!!!
Remember, you can pick and choose the classes, take only one or even more ~
CLICK HERE to check it all out sweet friends, I would so love to meet you!
I can't believe how fast the time is flying by,
the retreat will be here in no time!!!!

Come create with us!!!!!

Thank you so much for visiting me...

even when I don't have great stuff to share!

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Hello,
I hope you get your creative juices flowing again soon.
Maybe those orders are keeping you from creating something new.
How about alternating, one order and then one you really feel like doing.
It helps me.
Hugs,
Angela.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a creative slump or is it just a refreshing break where you go back to your life before blogging? Don't worry! Your mind is just rejuvenating! You are great! xo

Yep, we all have slumps! I go into a bit of a slump right after the Holidays, even Valentine's Day:)

Hope you have a wonderful and productive day, HUGS!

My best slump reducer is to force myself to sit and do a little something.

I think we all go through that at times, Dawn. I know that I can walk into my craft/sewing room and choose to do something simple or something more time consuming, but there are days I'm just not feeling it. Then I'm bored and don't know what to do with myself, but it still doesn't make me want to do any crafting or sewing. Those are the days I might just put a favorite movie on or read or I'll just get out of the house and hit the thrift store.

Dawn, you always have the best things to share! Are you kidding me? If you are in a creative slump, it's a very wee one.

Dear Dawn, I have been admiring your blog for a very long time! Your artwork is most inspiring! So often I, myself felt the need of input from the outside rather than feeling it coming from within. Then I come to see you here, and it does not take long before I find a must- have that I use for inspiration. Sure you have to gather your strength from time to time, concentrate on yourself and take a break from all this energy that you are showing. But just take care for yourself, we, your faithful followers find plenty of inspiration on your blog and this never times out! Thank you so much for sharing! Greets, Manu

Dawn, I am quite sure your creative 'juices' are just taking a little break. Not to worry. I won't be able to see you in Texas...but I will patiently wait to see what you have to say about it when you return. FYI, last night I ordered the book you recommended..."Rediscovered Treasures." To be delivered the 22nd from Amazon.com. Can't wait! You take care...and relax...you'll be enthused in no time. THANK YOU, pat

Thanks for reminding me about the creative off time....I haven't been in the mode either for days and wondering what it was. Yes, we cannot be ''on'' all the time. Your stuff is gorgeous by the way!

Dawn, what I wouldn't give to be in your Paper Cowgirl class! If only it could be closer to me!

I sympathize with you for being in a slump. I feel the same way for the last few days, so this is when I do menial and mindless things, like clean my studio, read magazines that have been piling up, and do some shopping on Etsy :)

I don't have problems with ideas, I write them down. I have problems motivating myself to get started. There are always dishes to do, laundry etc... Wish I could put my stuff first, or am I doing the ol avoidance thing.
