New beginnings ~

A few sweet illustrations from

I'm feeling so good!!!
I finally tackled my studio!
When you get into a creating frenzy......supplies. are. everywhere ~
I end up pulling out everything I need and even what I don't and it really piles up...
But I took the entire day to put things away ~
throw things away and store what's left
into creative containers.

Do you love wonderful old luggage?
I absolutely adore train cases!
I have a tiny collection and decided to store different projects
inside each one ~

This one holds all the components to create resin baubles....

This one holds tons of stuff for soldering and a few Tim Holtz treasures
I've been wanting to experiment with too!

And what's so neat?
I managed to experiment a teeny bit today too!
I've had this color remover forever ~
and then I came across
this dark navy luggage pocket that I'd salvaged a while back
(who even knows how long!)

Well, I thought it was time to give the color remover a try ~

Just look at the gorgeous result...
amazing!

OH!! And I've also been gathering my goodies
to prepare class kits because.....
I'm going to be teaching at Paper Cowgirls in March!!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??!!!
I'm gonna be brave and do this!

Clean tables make me want to make things!!!!
Why is that?
They're clean and all I want to do is mess them up :)

Have a great Wednesday my dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Happy New Year Dawn!

Oh what fun to have a clean slate to create on. And ues I have 2 small suitcases that I love to store things in and they so easy for creating on the go.

I ordered Helmar Premium Glue and love it! I think that you had a recommendation for the glue a little while ago.

Happy New Year!

Do you remember what's in the luggage or do you create sweet tags for them? Oh that RIT color remover is a wonderful idea. Keep having fun!

I've still got some organizing to do in my space, Dawn. I did some sewing the other day and was a bit limited in moving around. I think once I've got things in their place it will be a lot easier to create things. I like your shelves and need to find something with shelves to get the rest of my stuff off the floor.

Dawn I have always loved your studio storage ideas and the train case one is fantastic. Alas I have had no luck here finding antique suitcases of the right kind. I am so excited for you to be teaching at Paper Cowgirls. You will be a BIG hit! Happy new year---you are one of the sweetest people in blogland.

Hmm... adding RIT color remover to my shopping list. My mum got be a bright orange (but otherwise lovely) thin-cottony-embroidered shirt. I bleached it down to like a pale tangerine ... but seems got ripped and the embroidery clumped in a couple of places -- repairable, but annoying.

Just nice to know there are other people in the world that like to store things in beautiful creative containers instead of p l a s t i c b u c k e t s . My floor is covered, but what else is new. There is always tomorrow. Now to find more stuff to create.

great job cleaning up.
I may get around to mine, in my dreams, someday. =)

right now, just trying to survive one day at a time. Hate these seasons, but know I will grow because of it.

You will do great teaching your class, cause you are so talented, and fun!!

Sometimes I like the sorting out as much as the messing up! Looks like a great place to a clean slate to get started on new projects!
Enjoy!

I feel the same way too, it's really gets the creativity going when my work space is organized. And I seem to need to reorganize after every new project!
