It seems I always return to nature for inspiration.
The beauty of nature is classic and timeless.
When I create a piece of artwork that is nature inspired,
I love thinking that in maybe ten years or so,
it would still be enjoyed for it's classic style.
Below, a cutting I pressed, backed by burlap and then scanned for you...
Feel free to use this if you'd like!!

Love the pressed flowers. I have old phone books full of them and can't stop picking and pressing more. Thank you for the image and quotes.

Mornin', Dawn. I hope the sun rose to a beautiful Georgia day for you. It's going to be another hot, but fabulous day here in south Florida.
I've always been a Nature Girl at heart, growing up more in the country than the city. Husband and I had as many as 350 acres at one time in Wisconsin (we're not farmers, either), and left 90 acres behind when we moved south. I miss it. I miss the quiet, the flora and fauna and the pure bliss of country living...but not the snow! Our three acres in FL is too "close" for me. Someday, I hope to live on "land" again...with a huge, old barn (or IN a huge, old barn!).
Thanks for your images, and for inspiring me to "go on" today.
Blessings,
Donna
So simple and yet sooo beautiful.
Thanks Dawn!
Enjoy your day!

wonderful! I love it when I find flowers pressed in the pages of old books; like holding a bit of someone's life in your hands...
