I just finished an assemblage last night and wanted to share it with you. I love dress forms, so when I found this small one at Michael's, I knew I would love to turn it into something neat. I've layered old pattern pieces over the form and added several found objects, ribbons and letter tiles. The base is constructed of an old thread spool and another paper mache ornament. I'm going to sell it in our store but if it doesn't sell, I'll put it in my etsy shop!
Also, the other photo is my first attempt at paperclay. The tall thin piece is going to be a sweet little girl doll, and the other is a mad little baby I'm going to attempt to paint. I'll be sure to post pictures of them in progress. We'll see how that goes!
I'm back to the antique store today and I do hope you all have a wonderful week, maybe the temperatures are going to creep back up and we can get back to enjoying Spring!

I love what you did with the little dress form. I bought one of those several months ago at Michaels and its still just sitting there.
Hope the paper clay figures turn out just like you envision.
That is a sweet dress form!! I LOVE playing with paper clay too!!!! Ooooh, come on over and bring your block of clay :) I'll put aside all the days chores and we'll just sit and get our hands dirty :)
Wow, the dress form is awesome. I can't wait to see it in person. At least now I know what type of dolls you are talking about. I thought you were sewing them.
See you Thursday.
The dress form is so cute I'm sure you won't have any trouble selling it. Oh and I can't wait to see the dolls when they're finished.
You are so creative Dawn! I love the dress form. That is so clever and cute. Can't wait to see what happens with your paper clay dolls...looks like fun too! I am so happy we found each other's blogs this past winter. :) ( Cindy's too!) You gals are the BEST!
