Simply what I love...

I do so love pretty things....
gorgeous old paintings:

Beautiful old illustrations:

My wonderful fabric collection...

Delicate antique lace...

Wonderful old ephemera ~

Making something pretty ~

Roses. Alive or dried...it doesn't matter to me. They are heavenly!!!

Great ideas that utilize simple components ~

Beautiful antique jewelry...

Sweet old buttons...they are like precious jewels to me.

Making something that has been cast-off into something
that is precious and wonderful....

I've been not-so-productive this week ~
I don't quite know why, but it is so.
I do hope you have the most wonderful Friday and weekend!!!
Don't forget to "spring" forward with your clocks Saturday night...
I think I'm actually looking forward to this time change this year!!!

Thank you always for stopping by to see what I'm up to!
hugs and love,
Dawn

Wonderful photos ~ Thanks for always sharing your treasures.... I am finally being productive this week after 3 weeks of being sick or injured~ suppose to be 48 this weekend, so I am thrilled and with it being lighter longer each evening will have me dancing a jig! Enjoy your weekend....

Oh Thank you again dear Dawn for sharing all this beauty with us.
You inspire me constantly, in fact, I recently created a lacebook using the third image down - William-Adolphe Bouguereau for the front cover!
I really connect with all those layers of gorgeous fabrics, buttons
and vintage lace also.
Thank you so much also for your very kind recent Birthday wishes to me.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love and hugs sweet friend,
Suzy

I am very happy about the time change and hope it will wake me up even though we "lose" that hour of sleep.

Your urge to create will burst through again any day...perhaps today. Do you think that when you gather in such lovely things as when you did last week that it takes time for ideas to come together for those new pieces?

I, too, love all these things. Especially old illustrations - there is a beauty and sweetness to them that I don't see today.

O dear, I got somewhat confused about the clock change, "do we have to change already?" but here in the Netherlands it has to be done at 31st of March, pfeew :)
Lovely post Dawn with lots of eye candy, yummie fabrics and pictures! And love your gorgeous creations. Hugs and wonderful day, Wendy

Hi Dawn, Thank you for sharing these lovely images. Don't you find creativity has an ebb and flow...just like anything in our lives. Your creative times always inspire me, and are just as close as that beautiful stack of fabric or the buttons and lace. Your mind is always thinking...waiting for your hands to catch up! Love, Penny

Even though sometimes it is better to be late than not at all... I was pleasantly surprised to see you in Mollie Makes with an article on My Space.
To share your lovely smile and the beautiful surroundings in which you create is always delightful.
