How blessed am I.

I truly do feel so blessed.
Blessed because I've been here on this earth for 51 years...
Blessed because my family is so very precious to me.

My mom and dad were nurturing and always
made sure that my brothers and I knew we were loved.

Blessed because I married an amazingly wonderful, honorable man.
We grew up living across the street from each other, can you believe that?
He was always so kind to everyone...he never made fun of a single person...
I knew he was a special soul even when I was in fourth grade.

Blessed because we were gifted with five of the most beautiful, precious sons...
who love one another and take care of each other like any parents
would dream their children would.

Blessed because our oldest son Brent married Emily and has
had two gorgeous grandbabies, Clara and Murray,
that we all love so dearly.

Do you have days that you
feel overwhelmed with the blessings of your life???

To stop and take stock of all that has been given to you,
and simply casting off all of the bad...
but claiming the goodness ~
I think is such a wonderful thing!!!

I just finished up a few sachets for a sweet friend of mine ~
here are a few photos:

We've had some crazy cold and windy weather here in Georgia
for the last few days...but the weekend forecast looks wonderful!
We will be celebrating my father-in-law's 78th birthday with a big
ol' fashioned cookout this Saturday ~
he's a wonderful, sweet man that we all love so much....

I took a photo of the sky and the sun setting the other evening to share with you ~
it looks like a fire but I promise it's just the sun setting and clouds....

Wishing you a WONDERFUL Thursday sweet friends....
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh yes! I do think we should spend time counting our blessings...every day! Those grands are so adorable and your sons are handsome. Another year has rolled away like tissue paper from a gift. Time to see what is yet in store. (I didn't know that you and your hubby grew up across the street from one another. How cool!)

Dawn,
I love this post. How sweet. What a beautiful family. I love the picture of Murray. It made me smile. He is adorable. Clare is so beautiful too. You are a lucky grandma!!! Is is not true that just when you think you could not love anything deeper than your own children they give you grandchildren and you fall in love again. Precious Dawn.

Your family is beautiful and counting your blessings is very important. We all get so rushed and want so much more than we have. Resetting and counting Blessings is crucial to our happiness.
Now that is a fiery sunset...
