Under the bed...

Have you ever had a yard sale?
UGH.
They are A LOT of work...
and yes, you have more money than you started with
but you earn every stinkin' penny!

We're going to have one Saturday morning.
And we just decided this...I've got three days
to get it together ~
we've needed to do this for weeks
but it just seems that lately
every weekend we've been busy.

Of course, Saturday it's going to be the hottest day
in Georgia so far this year.
Yay.
I told hubby I'd be waving at him through the window :)

The pics below (for you) totally depict how I feel....

To save the LARGEST size of my images:

Right click on the image.
Left click "OPEN LINK IN NEW WINDOW"
Then....Left click the image AGAIN.....
you will now have the FULL SIZED IMAGE.
Now you can right click it to "save image as"
and save it to your own computer.

Flat smile :) fake but trying:

Wish me luck...

Have a wonderful day dear friends ~
If you need me, I'll be under the bed.
hugs and love,
Dawn

Oh Dear! Watching people is very entertaining. The work involved in a yard sale is far too much for any money received. Do you have misters for a cool area? Best of luck to you and please don't get heat stroke.

Hi Dawn, You're a brave girl! My suggestion, free sweet tea or lemonade...make em want to hang around for a while. Good luck, wish I was closer...I'd stop by! Love, Penny

Bless your heart!!! And you know what that means in the south!!!! :) I would rather take a beating than do a garage sale!!! And in the summer??? In Georgia??? HONEY, YOU ARE SMARTER THAN THAT!!!! What were you thinking? WHO talked you into this???? Last one I did hubby & I agreed that it was more work than what we made & the next time we'd just donate it all & take the write off. GOOD LUCK!!!! I know you'll have some great goodies! Wish I lived closer... HUGS!

Been there and done that, Dawn, last summer - temps over 100 degrees and this after two weeks of working to get the basement cleared - had my dining room and living room filled - couldn't delay - it was a long day - but we were $400 or so richer - and a friend from church with a truck came and took what was left in the yard to Goodwill. Be encouraged. There is life after yard sale.
Joy!
Kathy

And, BTW - I would LOVE to go to a yard sale at YOUR house!!!!

Ha Ha - I hear you Dawn, every word of it. Although I'm in a constant state of purging the "stuff" I've accumulated - - I have to admit I'm a tad bit jealous of those who will be able to attend your sale. I'm sure others who read your post would agree with me. But... you're probably not going to have bins of old lace and seam binding, or a huge box of old photos and paper for $5.00. So.... I'll be okay. Keep wearing the flat smile, you'll get through it. ~ Abby

It is always a good idea to have a garage sale...in theory. Good way to get rid of stuff, but what to do with all the stuff left over?? That is the part I hate!
Good luck and I hope you sell everything!
The pictures of the girls are very cute! Thanks for posting them!

Oh, Dawn!
I feel your pain, dear! I have been trying to get my resale shop going too and the heat is oppressive. I guess I just need to get dirty and yes, sweaty! and get it ready.
Wish I was able to zip down and visit your sale! I'd love to see what you have! Always looking for treasure.
Hugs,
Sherry

Two things:
ONE....Such a tease posting YOU are having a garage sale and I can't come! Whhhaaattt?? I'm so jealous! Can't imagine what goodies you'll be parting with.
TWO...My huge basement has been in the process of organizing a garage sale forever! I keep waiting for those cooler temperatures. I spend all that time pricing and organizing, then someone has a boatload full of my stuff then offers me a quarter for it. Grrr!
