Got stuff?? Display it!

I hung the shadow boxes!!
Man...by the looks of this pic...I like me some stuff!!!
I just hope that shelf holds up and doesn't crash,
I don't think I can cram one more little bitty thing on there :)
The shadow boxes are pretty full too, don't you think???

This grouping is all hung above my sewing machine...

You know how I am...
I fully believe the blank wall is just waiting
to be filled up with lovely things!

Only you, my dear friends, understand this love of collected treasures....
and being able to look at them as I walk through my studio?
PRICELESS!!!

I'm working on a big ol' group of iPhone cases...nine as a matter of fact!
Stay tuned ~ I'll have neutral colors and gorgeous vintage roses barkcloth....

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday my sweet, sweet friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

I love seeing all your treasures! I've been thinking of trying shadow boxes to hold some things I've had packed away for much too long. The only thing holding me back was worrying about gluing my treasures, then I saw your tip about using pins in the previous post! I appreciate all the tips you have been so willing to share! Thank you!

It looks so wonderful dearest Dawn- your room must be like a fairytale, with all those treasures to watch all over. The shelf holds so many beautiful things, and I love this group of pretties and the birds , I know your heart is full of joy entering all this beauty, my sweet friend.
I wish you happy day, and sends you love and hugs, from here- your Dorthe

It all looks wonderful! I love to put my little collections in old medicine cabinets and hang them about. In the bathroom, the laundry room, everywhere. Keeps the dust off and allows you to enjoy the collections. Shadowboxes are my second favourite choice. Everything looks so good behind glass. Keep sharing. I love to visit!

Beautiful display of preciousness :) Enjoy your day my friend, HUGS!

It's terrific! I'm with you, a blank wall begs for something. Now this is a bit of a struggle if you live with someone who believes that the wall itself is "the thing." ☺

Your customers will be thrilled with the cases. I know they will!

What a great vignette that all makes, Dawn! My husband thinks the same thing about me ~ that blank walls need to be filled! : ) Are you getting things ready in your studio for Karen's Where Bloggers Create linky? I clean up, then I do a project and it gets messy again. I've got to try and get some pictures on one of those cleaned up days!

Dawn, I visit the Feathered Nest every day to see what wonderful things you have to show us and I'm NEVER disappointed. Today is no exception and once again I am inspired. The wire shelf filled with beautiful things is just gorgeous and now I will be looking for one of those here. The shadow boxes are quite dear and lovely. As always, you have given me a beautiful start to the day. Thank you! Wishing you a great day, pat

I think your displays are perfect! Sort of what I've been doing in my sewing room but you just gave me a ton of new ideas. Love those shadow boxes full of vintage treasures! I'm going to get to work! Thanks for the inspiration!

YES! Dawn - You have said it and followed through - fill the walls! I'm lamenting that mine are too full and I'm wanting to make major changes but don't want to part with what's presently there, either. Dilemma! Am inspired by your shadow boxes, though - I've many of the items you have delightfully stuffed in there looking like organized chaos, however, mine are currently stuffed neatly in a chest of drawers. Something to think about for a new project . . .

Joy!

Dawn,
It's all gorgeous. The whole point of collecting is to savor memories and I feel honored to be in them...I hope! LOL
Seeing that bit of trim takes me back to Athens Texas and one of my fondest memories...and isn't that the whole point of surrounding ourselves with things we just love?

Oh, Dawn, You do know how to display! I love your style. I also have stuff, it is piled all over every surface and I don't have any room to work! Hoping a little elf will come and wink it all into place. It is overwhelming and I am now using a tv table to do some collages using your sweet vintage images. I'll send pictures soon!
Hugs,
Sherry
