So much to share!!!

First, take a peek at what's inspiring me now!
I've gotten so picky about the mags I buy now...so I thought I'd share
the few that I've HAD to buy lately!

So much inspiration is packed inside these issues....

Inside Prims...
I'm obsessed with doll making lately ~
we'll see if I can get one made :)
But just take a look at a few of the beautiful pages of the latest issue of Prims:

Lance Perry's wonderful bee on the left....he's Ann Perry's son of The Tin Rabbit!
Ann doesn't post much but take a look at her Flickr
and you'll see where her son's amazing talent came from!!

More wonderfulness...

Becky's gorgeous doll Lilly....from A Wing and a Prayer ~
She SO inspires me!

Inside the current issue of Romantic Country....
look at all of the gorgeous homes featured ~

After I looked at this particular home, I recognized it!!!
It's Rebecca Ersfeld's home!
Just gorgeous....

A few peeks at the January issue of Victoria magazine...this is a gorgeous one!

And lastly, my new issue of Country Living ~ which I haven't even looked at yet!
I just opened up these few pages to share with you and KNEW
you would love it!!!

When I went shopping on my birthday, I always love to visit Joann Etc. and Barnes & Noble.
They are both really far from me and I just don't get to go very often....
Here a few books I found from both of the stores.
Now, I love fairies, and love the flower fairies but that's not why I bought this book.
I bought the purse book because I have an obsession with purse patterns!
This one is chock full of them and I love their simple style.

If I add a strap to this pattern, don't you think it would make a great flea bag???
It's a wonderful small size ~

And if you take a look at a few peeks inside the flower fairies book,
you'll see why I fell in love with it!!!
It's about embroidery and stumpwork.
Well, I'm not too sure what stumpwork is but I LOVE IT!
It's making embroidery 3D I think...
I just thought some of the techniques would be so neat
to incorporate into my artwork in some way ~

Just look at the fairy's dress....I love the manipulation of the fabric!!

And totally changing the subject....
I had these precious doll shoes I've collected in neat old tin, where I couldn't see them ~
so, we were given a snack gift for Christmas in this tall canister and after it was gone,
I cleaned it up, removed the labels and put my little doll shoes inside so I can SEE them!
Now, they can INSPIRE me!!!!

I had to show you these too...
my sweet little trees are getting packed away until next year ~
I had high hopes I'd get so many more finished!!!

And GUESS WHAT?
I was contacted by BH&G and they want to feature
my artwork in their next issue of Holiday Crafts!!!!

My dear sister-in-law has just opened her very own Etsy shop!!!!
She makes the most delicious candied pecans....
wouldn't these make the most wonderful favors for a shower or wedding?
Just bundle a little handful up in a tulle circle, tie with ribbon and place in a huge basket!

And just look at what my family has been up to in the soap making biz!!!
Precious birds from wonderful shea butter soap....
you KNOW I love them!!

Sorry about the MASSIVE post,
But I just had to share it all with you!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday dear friends,
hugs and love,
Dawn

Yippee! Congratulations on the craft feature in BH&G. That is exciting news!
Thanks for sharing the magazine peeks...I need to get the Country Living one for sure. What an excellent idea with the tiny shoes and can I say I LOVE a drawer full of trees! That photo truly tickled me.
Thanks for mentioning the bird soap...it's just what I've been looking for to use in a bathroom display. So I just popped over and bought myself one. The "pair of birdies" soap in th eETsy shop were very sweet too by the way.

CONGRATULATIONS on the featuring, dearest Dawn,so deserved, and so wonderful for you.
And thanks for all the mag.views- I have ordered Prims, and hope it will soon be here- and I would love to buy the two others ,also, but they are not to get in DK, and all the postage sending mags-are just too expensive for me,to order all I want...
The soap is the sweetest- and I will visit your sister in law- it looks delicius.
Wishing you a cosy day with all your new reading stuff. Hugs and love to you precious friend.

Nice post, and not too massive for my tastes at all! Victoria mag is always like a mini vacation, isn't it? And I still love Country Living after all these years. I've been a little disappointed with the quality of the photos in Romantic Country, of late - I seem to always be bringing the page closer to my face, trying to see better details.
BHG will be wonderful exposure for you - congrats!

Congrats! Nice way to start off the new year! I totally agree with selectivity on magazines these days. I've turned very frugal in these times, but I have to have a vice once in awhile:)

Oh Dawn.. I'm soooo tickled for you snagging the mag gig. WOW! And, you SHOULD have a regular spot in many of them... Whoooppeee. Can't wait to see it.

Love your shoe display.. I'd never thought of that and now I'm gonna be on the hunt for itty-bitty shoes. Just what I need. One more thing to collect, like we're not out of room here already?

Thanks for the peek into the magazines. I saw the Prim one from afar at Michael's last night, but didn't want to get out of line to go pick it up. I've cut down on magazine purchases a LOT lately. So many more fun things to be found on wonderful blogs. :-) A girl only has so much time.

Happy New Year!

Hi Dawn,
I have gotten so tight about buying magazines lately and am pretty picky about what I buy too. I used to buy every one I could get my hands on. Now with blogs I get all the beauty I can take in...but I did buy a few of these too last week. Of course I had to buy the RC with Rebecca's house in it!
Congratulations girl on being published again. That is so exciting!
sending love to you...

I also love making dollies. It is not as hard as one would think and very rewarding. I do just love to look at them, make them, share them. LOVE the soaps! Super cute, the bunny and the lollies! haha. Congrats on being featured. Did you see that I used your little dress in one of my digital scrapbooking kits? I can't wait to use some of the watch faces and unique pearlized buckles. I have never seen them in person, so this is so wonderful for you to share.!! If you want the kit, let me know, it's yours free :) for sharing with me! Lots of love,VIVAYNE
