Today marks TWELVE YEARS for this little blog!

Can you even believe it??
February 11, 2007 I posted my very first post here.
I know I don't post as often anymore,
seems folks love Facebook and Instagram right now.

Blogging has become outdated but
truth-be-known,
I've met the most precious friends here!!!

Thank you always for visiting me and following
my life, my journey and my art.
And so, to celebrate I'll will actually POST today!!!!
HAHAHA!!!

I'm in love with all the precious birds in our new neighborhood!
It's an older neighborhood so the trees are huge and so we have
tons of different birds and other visitors too!
Even chubby squirrels ~ I'm sorry, I just love them!
I had hamsters when I was young and they remind me of them!

I started off with this lame bowl full of birdseed on the back deck
but after a heavy rain it instantly became soup!!!

I can see this sweet feeder from my computer so you know I love it but
something had to change.

I found this covered feeder at Wallyworld for only about 20 bucks.
Now, that's much better!!!

After days and days of rain in Georgia, it was so great to see the blue sky again!

We finally emptied our storage unit and put our leather furniture in the living room.
I'm so loving it all and very thankful for our boys who made it happen!

And guess what???
The studio is FINALLY taking shape and is looking wonderful!
Here's a sneak peak and I promise I will share more photos later.

The new studio is already inspiring me!!!
When you see all of your beautiful supplies, you are
reminded of the cool ideas that you had while buying them!

I can't wait to get back to creating but I have a bit more to unpack.
Says every hoarding artist!!!
But what I say is you can't create without supplies...
the more you have, the more you have to draw from.

Wishing you a sweet Valentine's Day dear friends!!!
You know I love you all ~

Dawn

The house and the studio look amazing! I am so missing your creations however, and cannot wait for you to start creating again. I so enjoy my antique jar with the nest and covered in muslin and look at it each and every day. Blessings and thanks for posting; it has been too long!

Dawn, your little bird and squirrel friends are gorgeous - I love them too, even though many see them as pests. Your home is looking cosy, and your studio will be such an inspiring play area for you. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts. I still prefer blogs, where your personality comes through and you can ramble a bit.

wishing you that creative spark,

I'm personally glad you're still blogging. I'm NOT on Facebook or Instagram...and don't plan to be. Maybe that's my age speaking!
Congratulations on 12 years...wow that doesn't seem possible does it?
Your home is looking so cozy and comfortable. Your studio is looking
very inviting.

Hello there Dawn! I found a picture of something beautiful you had made on Pinterest. I follow it to you. And oh my I not sure the day I started blogging but I have not posted in a long time. Congratulations on the 12 year anniversary of your lovely blog! I used to follow you and you were so kind to everyone! You were so very creative and talented with your beautiful work of art! And your home was always so inviting to visit! Your children and your grandchildren post made it such a happy place visit and to read. I moved around 9 years ago. That was too when I stop blogging very often. I think I was always on Pinterest “LOL” I have now over 20,000 followers on there. I also in my old age (I’m now going on 78) started doing YouTube Vintagearttreasures. I think that was in my early 70’s! I have met so many lovely crafters all the USA and around the world. My daughter is now becoming a YouTube star her channel is Mimis Crafty Shoppe. She makes beautiful journals and other things. Thanks for always sharing your talent with so many that love your lovely artwork! I am not on FB but I was thinking about joining Instagram. I’m happy for you and y’all new home place! Can’t wait to see you new studio. Those sweet birds are so happy to have a place to come and know they are so very welcome to stop by to enjoy your hospitality! Have a wonderful blessed day! Lots of hugs, Judy (I am from TEXAS)

Congratulations on your blog anniversary. It brings a little sadness to my heart that this type of blogging has fallen by the wayside but I continue to read your blog as well as the handful of remaining blogs that I follow. I remember once having a huge list of blogs that I shared and read weekly, sometimes daily, but alas, those have long gone away. I wish them all well but do miss them. I am grateful for yours and have always enjoyed seeing what is going on in your feathered world. Sea Witch

Congratulations, Dawn! I just checked and I started blogging in April of 2007! I think I probably started following your blog very early on and have always loved seeing your beautiful creations. Those birds and squirrels know where to come for the food! Your studio is looking good!

First of all I love the header on your post. How I wish I could visit you studio, I bet I could learn a lot from you.

I think you are right, a lot of bloggers have went on to something else. I never posted more then once a week and continue to try to keep it up. I do a daily things on facebook, posting a quote and commenting on the comments I get. Message on facebook is how most of our missionaries contact us so that's one reason I am on a lot. But I still go to several post everyday that I have followed for years, it's like reading a devotional for me. God feeds me, challenges me through these people. I glad I stopped by your site. Blessings.

Dawn,
I started blogging in 2006, when I had my original 5 horses. I'm now down to 4...2 have died and I replaced them (it's a LONG story...) I'm at deserthorses.blogspot.com

I LOVE how you feed the birds! I set up our front yard to encourage birds to come and ha, ha...a family of Coopers' hawks is now in the area! They love to swoop through and catch a dove every now and then (...cringe...). They even got my scrub jay who was with us for almost 4 years...sigh...

I LOVE your blog and I'm now following you!
