It's been a busy month around this old farmhouse!
I've managed to get several creative projects finished along with
going through the studio to find a few more things to sell.
It's amazing how much I've hunted, gathered and saved over the years!
I'm finally realizing that I don't need it all and it really feels good to purge.
I started a Facebook group over a year ago and simply post the photos,
price and shipping there!
It's worked out wonderfully.
SO...if you are on Facebook and would like to join my Studio De-Stash Group
come on over!!!! I add things regularly!!
I finished this little family of paperclay bluebirds last week!
Just perfect to welcome spring too!
Our sweet Clara turned NINE years old March 23rd too!
She had started painting this ceramic cat and
asked me to finish it for her ~
Of course I would!
I was able to get it painted just in time for her special day.
The cat is her favorite character in a book series she's reading!
A few of the things that I've been selling in the De-Stash Group...
some are already gone, some are still there.
Another project I finished was making a couple of simple slipcovers
for these old rocking chairs.
They are on our front porch and some animal was clawing them
every. single. night!!!
SO I thought maybe if I covered them it would prevent them from getting
to the straw they love scratching.
So far so good...I still may have to buy some repellent spray though ~
The fabric I used on these was one half-priced curtain panel from Hobby Lobby!
It had that farmhouse look and worked perfectly for the project.
A recent find at Michael's!
A neat chicken wire bird cage, fake lavender and little terra cotta pot.
All HALF off too!
And lastly...
THIS PRECIOUS GIRL.
Our youngest little granddaughter Tilly
turned 2 months old a few days ago!!!
She's such a sweet baby and growing like a little weed!
Well, that about sums up my March!
Stay tuned sweet friends...I'm going to be hosting a little giveaway
right here on my blog very soon!!!

Hi Dawn, Ooo such a nice post today. I enjoyed the pic of your baby Grdaughter <3 soo sweet. And nice work on the ceramics too! It's always great to both de-clutter - and - find deals of the day @ Michael's! : ) Thanks for sharing. karen o
oops, forgot to mention I love the ticking fabric you covered the chairs with! very cool! ko
What beautiful grandchildren you have. Blessings
I would love to be able to sit and visit with you and rock on your front porch. It's so inviting. I remember when you first moved into this farmhouse. You have transformed it into a wonderful home, worthy of a book.
Oh My Dawn,
I have moved to another cabin and have not read your blog in a long time and nothing has changed with your crafting! You finish what you start ALWAYS!
My Clara is (9) nine, I remember her birth and the cute kitty looks so much like the book cat, a great form to paint, what a great find for her! And a new grandbaby, another darling I must admire!
I need to look into your Facebook Destash page as I am going through the same thing. I have so many never used craft products and some to upcycle reuse as I had started by cutting up fabric.
I have about every kind of crafting products as I work mixed media and thought I might like another media to use and/or incorporate with other things. Many I never even tried which is so sad; I spent so much $$$ on them when we lived in the big city with great stores you also frequent.
I am so far behind getting settled in our new cabin, we have been here almost a year. I have also been trying to get my garden re-planted and so far behind in that too. I still have two storage shed warehouses I rent full of I don't even know what. I do know of a few things I cannot find, where to look is a puzzle, just one bin at a time trying to get them even down from packed to the ceiling spaces.
It was nice finding your blog again in my Bloglovin links I just came across! I admire your rocking chairs I wonder is a cat lives close to you. They are beautiful again with your sewing talent. Another thing I wanted to learn to do, sew! I have a small 3 piece patio set and the chairs pads need recovering but I would not even try to attempt it myself, also a fabulous sling chair pad so comfortable that I wonder if still will hold body weight so needs replacing. Sunbrella fabric to look for and find a seamstress for outdoor projects. ou kind of lay on your back in it as it rocks! Love it and miss it being around. But, who has time to sit around except for breaks with so much to do.. LOL!
It is so nice to catch up with you again, many years have passed, I remember your moving to the farmhouse and even re-doing your old house egarage when your son moved out. It was a beautiful room and I even won a giveaway you had, I cherish the oval child lacey wall art you made. Gotta find that too! I would never part with it.
Long enough, a blog post instead of comment I have made. My Etsy shops are still closed till get settled.

Awwww, sweet little Tilly really steals the show, Dawn! :) Your paper clay birds and the painting of the cat turned out so well, they're beautiful. Clever idea to cover the chairs in cloth, I really hope it will help! And so good of you to purge, dear Dawn. I'm in my third decluttering process, still finding so many things that I really don't need, don't use, and don't want to dust off anymore! We truly have too much stuff, most of us in the western world. It's sickening if you think about it.
Wishing you a beautiful day, big hugs, xx
