It always seems that this wonderful time of year
brings back so many sweet memories for me!
My mama and daddy loved Christmas and of course
LOVED Christmas music as well!
The night we decorated our Christmas tree
was always so festive and beautiful.
Mom and Dad had TONS of amazing Christmas albums
and they would load up the record player with
Johnny Mathis,
Nat King Cole,
Bing Crosby,
Glen Campbell (That Christmas Feeling)
and always, always
the great Ray Conniff album!!!
These are the precious memories of my childhood....
and you know what?
I'm so very thankful to my mom and dad
for giving me these sweet memories!!!
After we finished decorating the tree (with no gifts underneath yet)
I would love, LOVE to tuck myself underneath,
laying on my back
and
look up into the middle of the tree ~
it truly was magical!!!!
I only pray that we have given our sons
the same precious memories...
Don't you find it amazing that the music of Christmas
and even the scents and smells
bring back so many memories???
Happy Thursday dear friends ~
hugs and love,
Dawn

Here in DK we also love all those old American songs, and they are still played in the radio every year !!
Happy thursday to you dearest friend.

I grew up listening to that same music as my parents had a lot of Christmas albums. We carry on that same tradition.

Ah sweet memories! You're so right Dawn...memories can be triggered by so many things during this wonderful season!
Love, love, love that you got under the tree and looked up into the light filled branches. My grand girls love to do that too!
